I fell out of the Burrow's fireplace, coughing up ashes. I forgot to move out of the way, so Fred tumbled out on top of me.
"Ow!" I cried out. "Can you try not to land on me next time?"
"Sorry!" replied Fred. "We should probably move before-"
He was interrupted by George flying out and landing on his back.
"Move!!" I wheezed, barely able to breathe.
George got off in time, but then Ron came through and landed on Fred.
"Move, move, mooove!" I yelled. "Let me breathe!"
They both quickly moved, and so did I, just in time too, Ginny came out and landed in the exact spot I had just been lying.
I leaned against the wall, clutching my side and gasping for breath as the rest of the Weasleys tumbled out of the fireplace.
"Everybody make it through ok?" asked Molly as she stood up, brushing ash from her dress.
I glanced at Fred and George and reassured her that we were all fine, knowing the twins would get yelled at for not moving instantly.
"Ok then! You five," she pointed at the twins, me, Percy and Charlie, "go and pack your trunks, seeing as it's Wednesday and the train leaves on Friday!"
The five of us trooped upstairs, Charlie stopping halfway up and going into his and Bill's room. The twins went into their room and I went into mine and Percy continued upstairs.
I took out Bill's old trunk that I had been given and placed it on my bed, opening it.
I unwrapped all of my new packages and placed them in the trunk, like my books, my robes, my cauldron and everything else. I kept my wand out on my bed though, as I wanted to keep it with me on the train.
I walked over to my drawers and took almost every item of clothing out of each drawer and piled it onto my bed, beginning to fold it all and pack it.
Once I had finished that, I went over to my wardrobe. I looked through and found my raincoat, and packed that as well. I grabbed my rucksack from the floor of the wardrobe and threw that in too.
"Well, that looks like everything!" I said to my self, closing the lid of the trunk.
"You done, then?" asked Fred from the door.
I turned around and saw him leaning against the door frame. "Yeah. You?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
Fred scoffed. "No. Can you help me, please?"
"Sure. I knew you wouldn't be packed, dunno why I asked." I replied, following him into his and George's room.
Fred laughed lightly, then sat on his bed. "My trunk is in the wardrobe." he said, leaning back and relaxing.
"What? You haven't even gotten your trunk out?" I yelled. "You lazy pig." I added, going over and dragging his trunk out from his half of the large wardrobe.
I shoved him off the bed so that I could put the trunk down and pack it.
"Rude!" he said, sitting on the floor, seeing as George's bed was occupied by George's trunk.
I fake-yawned widely to show him that I didn't care, and walked over to his set of drawers at the end of the bed and opening the top drawer.
"Bloody hell, Fred! It looks like a bomb went off in here! And this is only one drawer!" I exclaimed.
He simply rolled his eyes and leaned his back against the wall, closing his eyes and basking in the bright sunlight, his red hair turned golden.
I opened the rest of the drawers (also messy), and gathered everything in my arms, dumping it in the trunk.
I took his packages, not bothering to unwrap them, and dumped them in as well. "There. Done." I said, running downstairs and into the kitchen so I could be protected by the presence of Molly, who was making lunch.
I heard Fred sprinting downstairs, then with five stairs to go, he jumped towards me, only to fall flat on his face.
I ran over to him. "Fred! Are you ok?" I asked, turning him over.
He saw me and grinned. "I'm fine." he said, sitting up.
"Fred Weasley!" shouted Molly. "What in the name of Merlin do you think you're doing?"
Fred grinned sheepishly. "Trying to kill Mar for not packing my trunk neatly?"
"Why can't you pack your own trunk?" demanded Molly. "Why make Marlene do it?"
"Oh, he asked me nicely, and I did it! He didn't make me pack it!" I cut in quickly.
Molly sighed. "Fine, then. Just don't go trying to kill Marlene again, please."
Fred nodded, then stood up. "Wanna de-gnome the garden?" he asked me.
I grinned at him. "Hell yeah. GEORGE!!" I screamed. "COME HERE, WE'RE DE-GNOMING THE GARDEN!"
"COMING!" George shouted down the stairs, and he was in the kitchen within seconds.
We all ran outside and into the garden, searching for gnomes. I was the first to spot one. I grabbed it around the ankles, stood up and spun it around and around until throwing it a fair few feet over the hedge.
"Good throw!" Fred said, patting me on the back.
"Thanks." I said, as he picked up a gnome. "Let's see if you can get that as far as I did now."
"Easy." scoffed Fred, spinning the gnome around and throwing it far, but not far enough.
"Ha!" I yelled. "George, your turn! George?" I looked around, scanning the garden for George.
"Where did he go?" mused Fred.
"Dunno." I said, walking towards the house. "Maybe he went inside."
Fred followed me and we walked inside. "Hey mum, is George in here?" Fred asked Molly.
"No, why?" asked Molly, who was making a salad.
"We can't find him, he disappeared when we were de-gnoming the garden." I replied, gagging at the sight of the salad.
"He'll probably just have gone in the orchard or something, if you can't find him there, come and let me know." said Molly.
I nodded, then Fred and I walked back outside and into the orchard.
"Georgie?" Fred called out. "Where'd you go?"
"Georgie?" I yelled. "Where are you?"
George jumped down out of a tree, making me scream of fright. "I'm right here." he said.
"Bloody hell, George! You gave me a heart attack!" I scolded.
"Where were you?" Fred asked sharply.
"Picking apples." replied George, showing us an armful of apples.
"You could've told us, you know!" I retorted angrily.
"Sorry, I forgot!" replied George.
Fred sighed. "It's fine. Now come on, we've got some de-gnoming to do."
