Authors note: I'm gonna start doing Fred's pov as well, I hope you like it!

Fred's pov:

I woke up to the sound of someone moving about the dormitory. I opened my eyes to the bright glare of the sun, looking over and seeing Marlene in baggy ripped blue jeans and a baggy yellow t-shirt, digging in her trunk.

"You like your baggy clothes." I said, sitting up. Marlene's head shot up, relaxing when she realised it was just me. "What're you looking for?" I asked as she resumed her search.

"My shoes. I thought I chucked them in here last night, but I can't find them." she said, checking under her bed.

"I... may know something about that." I said, grinning cheekily.

Marlene slowly looked up menacingly. She stood, bringing herself to her full height, which wasn't actually very tall. "You may?" she growled, taking slow steps over to me.

I shrunk down, nodding as I prepared to run. A grin quickly formed on her face as she jumped onto my bed, grabbing me around the middle.

I yelped, kicking the air while laughing. She held me one one arm, tickling me with the other. I laughed so hard that I was eventually wheezing.

"Where are they?" Marlene yelled playfully, ruffling my hair.

"In my trunk!" I exclaimed, pulling the covers past my face. Marlene let go of me and opened my trunk, taking out her shoes. She closed it and sat on my bed, putting her shoes on.

I gazed at her long, wavy brown hair. It was shining in the sun, almost blonde at the very tips. I reached a hand out and stroked her hair. It was soft, like a kitten's fur.

"What are doing?" she asked, sitting up.

"Your hair is nice. It looks pretty in the sunlight." I remarked, dropping my hand onto the covers.

"Thanks, I guess?" she said, tying her shoelaces. "Anyway... classes start tomorrow, so we need to make the most of today before we get mountains of homework."

"It's called a weekend for a reason, Mar." I said, getting out of bed and stretching.

"Yeah, but homework is done on the weekend if you don't finish it in the week. And knowing us, we'll be doing it on the weekend." she said, now plaiting her hair.

"True, I s'pose." I said, grabbing my jeans from my trunk and a blue t-shirt from Marlene's trunk. "Thank you for the t-shirt, and see you in a minute." I added, walking into the bathroom and locking the door.

Marlene's pov:

I continued plaiting my hair as Fred walked into the bathroom to get dressed.

After a few minutes, I finished plaiting and Fred came out of the bathroom. He looked around the dormitory, slightly confused.

"Where are George and Lee? Hang on, what time is it?" he asked me.

"They're in the common room, and it's eleven o'clock." I replied, standing up. "You slept in."

"Oh. If I sleep past seven tomorrow, can you wake me up?" he asked. I nodded in response. "Thanks. When did you wake up?"

"Only like half an hour ago." I replied, heading towards the door. "Let's go down to breakfast. Well, lunch really."

We walked into the common room, greeting George and Lee who were sitting in front of the fire, then continued down to the Great Hall.

"Wake up, Freddie!" I exclaimed happily, shaking Fred's shoulders. "Classes start today!"

Fred groaned in protest, but then sat up, shirtless yet again. I had gotten used to this by now, so I just threw his white school shirt at him.

"Put your uniform on, unless you want to get detention on the first day." I said, putting my shoes on.

Fred buttoned up the shirt, grabbed the rest of his uniform and walked into the bathroom to get dressed.

Lee shook George awake as I put my books, quill and other school stuff into my bag and put it on my back.

I ran downstairs and into the common room to wait for them, and to let them get dressed in peace. I sat on an armchair near the portrait-hole and waited.

After about five minutes, the three of them came downstairs and we all headed to the Great Hall to have breakfast.

As we were eating, McGonagall handed us our timetables for the term. I quickly scanned mine for my first class.

"I've got... History of Magic! That's my first class, anybody else?" I said, looking over Lee's shoulder.

George and Lee shook their heads, but Fred said, "Oh me too! Sweet, we won't die of boredom!"

I fist-bumped him as I stood up from the table, having finished my breakfast. "Let's go then, shall we?" I asked, taking Fred's arm as he grabbed a piece of toast.

It took us almost twenty minutes to find the History of Magic classroom, and when we dashed in Professor Binns had already taken the roll and had begun his lecture.

The other first-years looked like they were about to fall asleep as Fred and I sat at the two empty desks at the very back of the class, dumping our bags under them.

I got out a blank notebook from my bag, and a pencil. I opened it up and wrote drew a noughts and crosses game at the top of the page, showing Fred. He got out his pencil from his bag and we started playing, filling a fair few pages in the entire lesson.
