Chapter 15

Kenzie's POV:

I woke up in Edmund's arms the next morning. He was still sleeping and I smiled, playing with his hair. He looks so cute when he's asleep. I continued to play with his hair. I saw a smile on his face, knowing that he was up.

"Why are you smiling?" I asked.

He opened his eyes to look at me, "Because I woke up next to you."

I blushed. Out of nowhere, someone opens the door. Susan and Lucy were standing outside the door.

"Kenz, have you seen Ed-." they both looked at us.

"What the hell Edmund! What if Peter finds out about this." Susan said.

Edmund looked at them then to me, "Hey I was having a nightmare last night and I wanted Mickey's help because she keeps me calm."

I blushed then decided to change the subject, "What do you guys want?"

Lucy looked at me, "Oh, Aslan and Caspian are having a meeting with everyone and we need you two."

"Ok, let me get dressed first." I said, trying to get up but Edmund's arms were still wrapped around me.

"Edmund there isn't time for funny business. You go to your room and get ready. Now!" Susan snapped at him.

He groaned and got up. Before leaving, he gave me a quick kiss on the lips then walked out. Susan and Lucy looked at each other then at me.

"Did you two...?" Susan asked.

I threw a pillow at her, "Ew, Susan that's gross. We just went to bed. Nothing else."

They both laughed, "Can you both help me with my dress?" I asked. They both nodded and helped me.

After I got ready, I left my room to meet the others. I saw Edmund waiting at the end of the hallway. I smiled, "Missed me?"

"Yes, ready?" he asked, holding out his hand.

I slipped my hand into his, "Ready as I'll ever be."

We were walking to where everyone was gathered. I was wondering if this meeting is about us leaving. I hate the feeling of leaving this place so soon.

"Hey Eddie,"

"Hmmm."

"What if we have to leave today?"

He looked at me, "Mickey, we leave when Narina doesn't need help so I don't know."

I looked down at my feet, "I don't want to leave this place."

"I don't either but it's for the best of us sometimes."

I stayed silent the rest of the walk. Once we got there, we stood by Peter, Susan and Lucy. Caspian was upfront talking to the people.

"Narnia belongs to the Narnians just as it does to man. Any Telmarnies who want to stay and live in peace are welcome to. And for any of you who wish, Aslan will return you to the home of our forefathers."

"It has been generations since we left Telmar." a Telmarine lord said.

Aslan stepped forward, "We are not referring to Telmar. Your ancestors were sea-faring brigands, pirates run aground on an island. There they found a cave, a rare chasm that brought them here from their world, the same world as our kings and queens." he looked over at us.

I felt nervous so I slipped my hand back into Edmund's. He noticed my nerves and squeezed my hand to comfort me.

"It is to that island I can return you. It is a good place for any who wish to make a new start."
