Hinata immediately clamps his hands over his mouth, realizing exactly what he just admitted to Servant.
"I, um. . ."
Servant's eyes widen as he takes several steps back, trying to process what Hinata just said.
"Hajime. . .Did you say. . ."
The brunet grits his teeth, turning away from him. "It would appear so. . ."
Servant hesitates. ". . .Did you mean it?"
He spins back around. "Yes." He affirms harshly.
Servant continues to back up until his ankles hit the bottom of the bed. He sinks down onto the bed, hand shaking, tears welling in his eyes.
Hinata immediately panics. "What? What is it? Did I say something wrong? Oh God, I'm sorry, Servant, I-"
"No, no, that's not it. I'm just. . .surprised."
"Surprised?" Hinata echoes.
The fluffy-haired Despair shrugs. "Well, yes. . .I know I give you physical affection and flirt with you all the time, but I never figured my disgusting feelings would be returned. . ."
"You return my feelings?"
Servant smiles, looking over to meet Hinata's gaze. "You were the first to fight back against me, to care about me. You know about what I am and yet you stuck with me."
"I thought I was your prisoner." The brunet teases.
"Well, if that's what you're into. . .but still, a relationship with a Remnant of Despair will be doomed from the start. It's not worth it, I-"
"Servant," Hajime interrupts harshly, "Is this something you want?"
"That's irrelevant-"
"Don't be difficult, Servant, please. Just tell me the truth, I beg you." He insists, laying his hand on top of the fluffy-haired luckster's good one.
". . .Obviously I want it. But-"
"Enough. Allow yourself to be happy, both of us to be happy."
Servant's eyes scrunch up with worry. "It's not going to last. Future Foundation will catch up with us eventually and I'll get executed and you'll probably be punished for associating with me. We're going to be separated very soon, you know that."
Hinata throws his hands up in the air. "So we just keep running. Like an adventure! Stay on the run forever and we'll be fine!"
Servant sighs sadly. "Hajime-kun, you know that's just not possible. It won't work for the long-term. They'll catch up to us eventually, I'll be taken and who knows what'll happen to you!"
"You don't have to worry about that, you," Hinata huffs, "Even if we get separated, I'll find my way back to you, I promise. We've come too far to lose each other now, okay?"
". . .Alright, Hajime," He adjusts so that they're effectively holding hands, "Use me as you will."
". . .That's not how I would phrase this."
". . .I'm yours."
"Better. Now, does this mean I get to know your real name now?"
"My. . .real name? I thought I told you that isn't important. That's my secret." He giggles.
"Ah, no fair!" Hajime protests, "I don't have any secrets I'm keeping from you!"
"Hehe, sorry to disappoint, Hajime! That person's not who I am anymore-they know longer exist! Can't you just be happy with Servant?"
