"This is bad, this is really bad," Naegi mutters, pacing the room, "Kyoko, this is really bad!"
The lilac-haired girl sighs, glaring at the monitors. "Calm yourself, Makoto, it's probably not as bad as you think." She grunts back, sipping her coffee.
"Somehow!" He shouts, "Somehow, Komaeda's old emotions are coming back. I think Hinata has awakened these old emotions in him, what if memories are next?! A-And what if it's not just Komaeda, what if it starts with everyone else? Ugh. . .this is probably Hinata's revenge on me or something. . ."
The former Ultimate Detective swivels around in her seat to face the light-haired boy. "Well, then what do you suggest we do, Ultimate Hope-san? It's not like we can just pull him out now or anything."
"I don't know, I don't know!"
Naegi lets out a shout of frustration, landing a swift kick to his desk.
"Makoto, please calm down. We'll figure this out, okay? It's just. . .It's just going to take some time, okay? It's going to be alright. . ."
-
The next morning, Komaeda is at Hinata's door bright and early. "Morning, Hajime," He greets him, "I've returned just as I've promised to discuss how I'm apparently in love with you and you love me back!"
"Yes. . .It's strange, isn't it?" Hinata replies cautiously, "You said that you feel like you've known and loved me for months, right? Is that. . .all you remember?"
Komaeda frowns. "Hajime, are you trying to imply something? Do you. . .know more than you're letting on, Hajime?" His eyes narrow slightly, "Because that's something only the Traitor would act like. . ."
The brunet stiffens. "Um. . .Uh. . ."
Komaeda beams. "Just kidding!" He sings, making Hinata emit a sigh of relief, "I was actually wondering the same thing. But I guess not. Strange. . .but I do feel like I do love you."
"I love you too," Hinata responds automatically, "But. . .I honestly don't know what to tell you. . ," He glances at the clock, "Come on, we should really get down to the restaurant."
Komaeda sighs, folding his arms over his chest. ". . .Yeah, okay. Let's go."
-
When they walked into the restaurant together, everyone was already discussing Future Foundation and the Traitor.
"-Why would an organization that's secretly plotting to end the world. . .make us suffer like this?!"
"They went through a lot of trouble to abduct us and bring us to. . .this island."
"Not only that, they took away several years worth of memories of our lives at Hope's Peak Academy. . .For reasons that are unknown." Komaeda chimes in.
"Future Foundation! World Ender! Hah!" Mechamaru barks, "There's obviously something wrong with you if you believe in something so unrealistic."
". . .You're one to talk. . ."
"But," Komaeda continues slowly, "What we should be most concerned about, as it relates to Future Foundation, is the Traitor from Future Foundation that's hiding among us. I wonder who it is. . .The true identity of the outsider hiding among us and trying to ensnare us. . ."
Hinata stiffens. 'I'm not your enemy,' He wants to tell them all, 'I hate this just as much as the rest of you!'
"Komaeda's obviously the most suspicious though!" Souda pipes up.
