Hello! Hope you all have a nice day!
Single one thing Naksung hated right now was Jake. Making him pay for both the medical bills AND the payment for damages Ben caused in the hospital – the wall, the chair, etcetera. It was unbelievable of Jake – and Naksung knew, he knew the bastard didn't just tell him to do it because he had to take responsibility for making Ben angry, no, no, the fucker was enjoying this.
...
In a hospital room, a flicker of memory passed Ben's mind as he found himself lying on a hospital bed after sluggishly opening his eyes after less than ten minutes of being under.
Being here, in this hospital, his arm in a bad state.
He didn't necessarily like it here. Though he didn't fully hate it, he still didn't like it so much.
Sitting up, he rubbed at his eyes, and went to the washroom that was in the same room – he saw the 'washroom' label on the door – and once in there, he splashed cold water at his face, and stared at his reflection.
The person staring back had reddened eyes, and bruises and scratches with clothing in bad shape.
He was in total disarray.
Washing his face and hands a bit more, freshening up, he straightened and stared again at the mirror, and almost had a heart attack when he saw Alex bloody and obviously very hurt.
In an instant, Ben turned, and saw everything in place, no trace of his friend ever having been there. Am I going crazy or something? Fucking great.
Maybe if you bang your head enough on something concrete, you'd come back to your senses?
"Shut the hell up." He whispered at his own voice in his head.
It was like the opposite of a conscience or something.
Not like you have a conscience, though. You tried to KILL that guy. You meant to kill him. That was your intention. So, do you even have a sense of right and wrong?
While Ben Park didn't know this, intense negative emotions like stress or anxiousness could make people particularly at risk for hallucinating, among other things, of course. Though all that could be gone quite simply if the person just feels better...Probably.
Walking out of the washroom once he was done, he saw the nurse guy with a medical kit. "Oh, you're awake."
"Good. Let me look at those injuries."
Ben took tired steps to the hospital bed, and impatiently waited as the nurse did his thing, cleaning up the injury – sometimes there was a stinging feeling when that was happening, and wrapping the injured area, and all that boring, time taking things.
Once the nurse deemed him good to go, Ben spoke up. "Wait. Can I...uhm, can I see Alex?"
A few moments of nervously waiting later he got an answer. "That could be arranged, yes." At that, Ben wasn't sure how to feel. Of course, he felt extremely happy about getting to see Gogo, but...At what state was he in right now? Bandaged up? Connected to a machine? IV bags? He felt it hard to imagine what that could seem like, and was even more frightened at what he might see.
It wasn't at all pleasant when two parts of yourself think of two different things. Things like, oh, I should study, but then, oh, it would be better to spend some quality time playing a sport with friends. Bruh, how did Gray ever do studying all the time...There has to be things he wants to do other than studying...right...?
A beeping sound came from some small item on the nurse, and the nurse, checking it immediately, frowned. "Sorry, but I got to go. You can visit your friend, but not for long." Quickly checking the time, he continued. "You can probably catch the lady nurse from before at the reception area, her shift is done in a few minutes, so, before she's gone, she can show you where your friend is. I have to go."
