Aaron's POV

Since the night he caught Emily leaving he has tried to not judge her as much. Now when he sees her , he asks how her day has been and what not. At first she would just walk away and not respond he can't blame  her he had our right been rude and judgmental. But then she started to reply and even ask about his day. He honestly was glad she didn't hate him.

Emily's POV

After the incident agent hotchner had started ask about her day and other small talk this had pissed her off because how could he judge her one minute then then next be all civil. So at first she would walk away but with some thinking she was going to give him another chance. The next time she ran into him she replied and even asked how his day was the shock was clear on his face. She smirked as she walked away.

Both POVs

The next time he saw her was when he walked past the library and caught a glimpse of her. He didn't know why he was staring it was probably because of the way her ivory skin stood out against her raven hair or how he had never seen eyes like hers dark as night. The next thing he knew was those dark eyes meet his.

Emily looked up from her book to see hazel eyes staring at her.  He broke the contact and silence with saying sorry for bothering her. Emily stared at him for a moment taking in his chiseled jawline and hazel eyes.
"You're fine I actually had just finished, " she says shaking the book in her hand.

He glanced down at then title Pride and Prejudice.
"Is it any good," he asked curiously

" One of my favorites do have a favorite book agent," she said with a grin.

He let out a quick sigh ," well um I'm not a big reader but probably To Kill A Mockingbird."

"I knew you would say some thing like that."

Aaron smiled at her "what are you a physic now ?"

"No I just have a gift at reading people."

By now Aaron had sat down on the opposite side of the couch a nice silence falling between them. Emily spoke as she said she had to get going.

"I'll see you later hotch," blush quickly coming up her cheeks.

He looked at her confused by what she had said.

" I gave you a nickname, saying agent hotchner is a mouthful and now I can safely say we are at peace." Their eyes locked once more.

"Alright then ms. I mean Emily. Both of them walked away with huge smiles.

Later that night as Emily was about to slip out she ran right into her mother.

" Where in God's name are you going at this time."

" Out Mother!"she said sarcastically.

" Emily do you have any idea what could happen to you. You could get kidnapped and held for ransom."

Emily just rolled her eyes and headed back up the stairs she knew there was no way to win this one.

She was later woken at 9:00 am for an unplanned meeting with her mother. When she walked in she noticed hotch in the seat in front of the ambassador.

" Ahh Emily I was just telling agent hotchner of his new duties to chaperone and accompany you to where ever you may go."

She let out a loud sigh, "SERIOUSLY, I'm not a child who needs a babysitter."

"Emily as a political figure I need to know you will be safe and not ruining my reputation."

That evening she found hotch in the library.
"Sorry about this morning I know it is just your job and my mother is you boss."

"It's fine Emily I know this all must be a little weird."

"Well I came to talk about it," she said with a hopeful look.

" I'm all ears."

"For starters I am very capable of taking care of myself , if need to go somewhere I will let you know ahead of time and you won't have to stay with me and babysit then we come back here," she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding.

" I never doubted you in the first place and it seems fine to me wanna shake on it , he said with a chuckle.

When their hands touched Emily felt electricity all throughout her body. Aaron couldn't feel anything he had gone completely numb.

" We should probably go run this by your mother now."

"Yah,"Emily said softly not quite ready to move.

Ambassador Prentiss had approved of their agreement even though Emily hated the thought of a chaperone she could get rid of the butterflies in her stomach.
