I screamed in pain and clutched onto my leg, I saw it painfully twisted, "I should've killed all of you on that damned island." He raises his spear and was just about to stab me, I held my head down, "GET DOWN!" I heard a voice and a plasma blast, I was whisked away and I felt myself flying, I opened my eyes and I saw Hiccup raise his mask, he stared at my leg, "What did he do..." His eyes were fueled with anger, "Oh he's going to get it. Hold on." He rests me in front of him I felt myself shift back a little from Toothless's acceleration and we dived down, we heard screeches, "It's been a while since we met up with you two. What have you been up to?" We saw Astrid and Eret, "Oh you know, catching up with mum and familiarising her with the in-laws." Hiccup looks up and we saw Valka on Cloudjumper, "That's your mother?!" Astrid blinks, "Well now you know where I get my dramatic flair." Hiccup grins and flips his mask down, we saw Zipplebacks encompassing themselves with their gas and igniting it, spinning around destroying many of the catapults and traps, "We need to get you back to Storm and out of here now." Hiccup's voice was muffled from the mask, "I'm not leaving! I can't leave you here just fighting while I sit back and relax." I turn my head around, he groans, "But your le-" I interrupt him, "Screw my leg, I can make a splint, fly me down there." I point at some of the broken catapults, he sighs and does so, I blow a piercing whistle and I heard Storm's roar and he flies over, "Cover me." I pet his head, "Go." I look up at Hiccup, he looks forward at the battle before him then back at me, "Go!" I shout, he was reluctant but Toothless screeched and jolted his head, "You're coming back to me in one piece or I'll never forgive you." He says, "I promise." I smile and watch as he flies off.
I hobble over to the splintered catapult, Stormshear covering my back as I constructed a makeshift splint using my hair ribbon and the broken beams, every now and again I'd scrunch my hands into fists trying to endure the throbbing pain, we saw the water spew up and I another Bewilderbeast, "Gods, we've got to get out of here Storm." I try to finish my splint as quickly as I could with the last length of ribbon I had left and crawled onto his back, he shot up into the sky, to get me out of the way of the new Bewilderbeast, it walks onto the land, the two Alpha dragons using their tusks to fight, I saw Valka in the middle, I lay down on Storm's back and he splits his dorsal scales, "GET OUT OF THERE VALKA!" I shout and he fires a plasma blast at Drago's Bewilderbeast, Cloudjumper flies vertically up to get clear of the shot, his Bewilderbeast puts his tusks under the Alpha's neck and pushes him to the side, forcing his tusks into his stomach instantly killing him, "NO!" I screamed, Hiccup flew over to me and stopped me from diving down, he lets out a mighty roar and all the dragons bow down to him, "Now finish her! Kill the fury clan!" He raises his spear towards me, the Alpha takes in a deep breath and fires an icy shot at us, some of the ice sticks onto Stormshear's tail making it impossible for us to fly, he roars desperately, we both land on the ground, I roll uncontrollably and I felt the pain in my leg throb up my entire body, "ARGH!" I clutched onto my thigh, "So pathetic. Look at you, no family to run to, no village to hide in. Everything's an open battlefield, all these years I thought I decimated the alpha clan of the fury Zhao but I was deceived. Today's the day to finally make that true." Drago walks over to me slowly, I back into an ice spike and Storm wraps his tail around me, "ARGHHH! ARGHHHH!" He screams and waves his spear around his head, the Bewilderbeast walks over to us, "No dragon can resist the Alpha's command. So he who controls the Alpha controls them all." He points his spear at Stormshear and he seemed to cower, "It's alright, it's alright." I hold his head, the Alpha stares down at Storm and his crown seemed to expand, his eyes turned to slits and he seemed to vocalise a low frequency sound, Storm shook his head, roaring and screeching, "Storm? Storm snap out of it." I grab his head and make him look at me, his tail thrashes around, "Witness the true power of strength and will for others." Drago stares at Storm, he opens his eyes and they turned to slits, "In the face of it, you are nothing. You and your pathetic family were nothing more than lowlife peasants." He points his spear at me, Stormshear turns his head towards me, I saw Toothless walking over to me now as well, "Hey, hey what's going on?!" I hold both my hands out to them, "Hiccup?!" I shout, I saw him running over, "NAT!" He yells, Storm and Toothless were powering up for a plasma blast, I was backed into an ice spike, "NATALIE!" I heard Stoick shout, "NO! STAY BACK! BOTH OF YOU!" I shout at Hiccup and Stoick, they fired their blasts and I felt someone push me out of the way and the ricocheting sound of their blasts, I opened my eyes and I saw Hiccup holding me tight to his chest, his eyes slowly opened, I gasped, "Stoick!" I try to run over but I fell down, "DAD!" Hiccup runs over and tries to turn him over, Valka sprints and rests her head on his chest, she cries, Hiccup gasps and he lay on Stoick's body and cries, I hold his arm, "I-... I should be the one dead right now. I've always been the one Drago wanted, I shouldn't have done the things I did, it all just lead up to this!" I was beyond mad with myself, Toothless sniffs his hand and tries to get under it, "NO! STAY AWAY FROM HIM!" Hiccup pushes him away, Storm inches over, "Don't come any closer." I glared at him, they both whimpered, "GET AWAY! GET OUT OF HERE!" Hiccup yells, the two of them cower and run off, "It's not their fault. You know that." Valka touches Hiccup's shoulder, "Good dragons under the control of bad dragons do bad things." Valka had tears down her cheeks, I heard roaring and I look up, "Storm..." I saw Drago riding him, Toothless following behind, "TOOTHLESS!" Hiccup tries to run over, "No!" Valka holds him back.
"May the Valkyries welcome you and lead you through Odin's great battlefield. May they sing your name with love and fury so we may hear it from the depths of Valhalla and know you've taken your rightful place at the table of kings. For a great man has fallen. A warrior. A chieftain. A father. A friend." Gobber hands Hiccup a bow, he lights the arrow on fire and shoots it at the ship, we all follow suit and fire out arrows, "I'm sorry dad." Hiccup had a tear down his cheek, "I'm not the chief you wanted me to be and I'm not the peacekeeper I thought I was. I don't know..." He breathes out, "You came early into this world, you were such a wee thing. So frail, so fragile, I feared you wouldn't make it but your father, he never doubted. He always said you'd be the strongest of them all, and he was right. You have the heart of a chief and the soul of a dragon. Only you can bring out worlds together, that is who you are. Son." Valka walks over and cups his cheek, brushing her hands through his hair, "I was always afraid of turning into my dad, mostly because I thought I never could. H-How do you become someone that great, that brave, that selfless. I guess you can only try. A chief protects his own, we're going back." Hiccup turns around, "With what?" Tuff looks around, "Uh. He took all the dragons." Ruff says, "Not all of them." Hiccup grins.
We all walk through the caves back into the nest, it was broken and shards of ice littered the ground, I walked at the end of the group, I held on a dragon's tooth and spun it around my fingers, I saw the seven Berkians before me, "Pathetic." Those words from Drago echo through my mind as I stared at my mark of the fury on my arm, I slashed my skin, tears pooled, I should be the one dead, not Stoick, he was brave, he was strong, he was a chief, I was just a girl who had no home so came running to Berk with her tail between her legs, I looked at the stream of blood running down my arm, the mark disguised in the pool of blood and ripped skin, the skin around my wrists attacked by the dragon tooth, the seven of them were on a mission, a mission to bring back their home. It was like all over again.
- Flashback -
"Hey! Can I please join in? I brought my dragon too!" I smile as I hold my new baby dragon Nightfury in my arms, the little girls holding their Nadders, Scuttleclaws, Typhoomerangs and Razorwhips, "DADDY!" They screamed and ran away, Stormshear roared sadly and nuzzled into my arms, "Don't worry, they're just jealous because of how cute you are." Even I was kidding myself, who'd want to be friends with a girl whose family's clan is the Nightfury. We were alienated from our village, often referred to as the Lone Wolf clan but it was mostly because people were afraid of us and Nightfuries that would prowl around our estate, how I was lucky enough to have that change to "Welcome to Berk!" I shouldn't live this life, it's not fair.

I felt my lip quiver, everyone ran to the baby Scuttleclaws and mounted one, "Woohoo!" Tuff shouts as the rest of the gang shoot up into the air, I stared at the baby Scuttleclaw wagging his tail waiting for me to get on his back, "Hey, aren't you coming?" I heard Hiccup's voice and I look up, my eyes had lost their shine, everything seemed like it didn't matter anymore, "You guys continue on, we'll get back to you as soon as we can." He says as he flies back down, "What's wrong?" He strokes my arm but he takes a step back when he looked at his hand and it was covered in red, "Nat?" He hyperventilates, "Hiccup. I'm tired. I'm so tired. That should've been me. I should've died, it shouldn't have been Stoick, he was stronger than me, braver than me, better than me. He led a village with pride and cared for them, I'm... I'm nothing more than a girl from a village far away, scrounging for a roof to hide under. I don't deserve this." I look down, he holds my hands softly, "Don't you ever say that again you hear me. I love you, more than anything in the world, if you end it all here, I'd have lost my dad and my love. I can't even bear the thought of that. My dad saved you because you're one of us. A chief protects his own. You're one of his own, do you see it now? Nat, Berk loves you, just as much as I do." He eases the dragon tooth out of my fingers and throws it away, "The mark of the fury is something that brings pride to you. Remember that, no matter what Drago or anyone else says. You're strong, you're brave, you're the alpha clan of the furies. You're going to be the mother of our children, I don't- no, I can't see my Gorgeous crumble away like this? You're stronger than that. Always and forever." He wipes the blood away and kisses me, tears ran down both our cheeks, he looks at the mark of the fury on my arm, no longer glowing a light black, "It's beautiful, just like you. Never forget that." He rests his forehead against mine and brings me close to his chest, "If you ever feel like this again? Come talk to me, I don't want you to slowly collapse onto yourself like this, it breaks my heart because I love you." He strokes the tears away from my cheeks, I close my eyes and remember all the times Hiccup's changed my life, the Berkian that changed my life.
