Baby? Part 1.

this is based during season 5 after the seven year time jump Toni and Cheryl aren't together or really even friends. Toni left Riverdale after the key party Cheryl hosted. She is back in her apartment with fangs, but Kevin and fangs aren't together. Also if you haven't watch the first 10 episode of season 5 this oneshot won't make sense.

Cheryl was sitting across the table from Minerva, they were eating dinner. Cheryl felt this emptiness in her stomach, she thought that being with Minerva would fill that void she had felt at the depth of her stomach for year. Being trapped in Thornhill, the constant drill filling dulling her blurry mind and the strokes of paint distracting her soulless eyes. But nothing, not even the kiss of Minerva could fill that bottomless pit in her stomach.

"Cheryl dear," minerva started , "You have been picking at the same piece of chiken for 5 minutes, what's wrong?" she asked

"Huh," Cheryl said snapping out of her traced state, "Yeah no i'm good, i'm just not in the mood for fancy food . . . can we go to pops," cheryl asked softly.

"Yeah cher, if it will make you happy," 

"Yeah, i-it would," Cheryl said letting out a loud sigh, 

"Oh, umm sorry, did you not want me to call you Cher,",

"Oh urr, no it- it's fine," Cheryl stutter, but she felt her heart ache at the memory of who used to call her that.

"Well good. . .  cher, let's got to pops then," Minerva sad getting her coat,

"Okay" Cheryl said solemnly.

At Pops

The two girls pulled up into the car park, the warmness of pops red glow warming Cheryl's soul. the redhead got out the car and join Minerva walking into the diner.  the cosy chime of the pops bell rang as the girls wander in. Cheryl scanned the walls of pops and then her eyes drifted to the red leather booths lined up in rows. She saw a couple full booths before her eyes reached a similar set of four heads sitting together chatting. A raven and ginger on one side, a black and blond set of hairs on the other. She suddenly had a diabolic sense of Deja vu as she wandered over to the head of the table leaving Minerva at the counter talking to Tabitha.  

"Well i never thought I'd see this sight again," she spoke confidentially, as she stopped at the booth 

"Cheryl blossom," Veronica said as a smile pasted across her face,

"Hi Cheryl," betty followed up with a half smile,

"Seven years and we are back here, ironic isn't it," Archie added,"

"Yes well i guess whatever we do, wherever we go, we will always find our way back here,to this doomed little town," Jughead said keeping his eyes fixed to his coffee mug

"Oh how i missed jugheads deep quotes to really dampen the mood," Cheryl said, seeing a small smile stretch across jugs face,

"Cheryl please sit," veronica said shuffling up.

"OH, a seat at the core fours tabel, im honored," she said sarcastically placing her hand dramatically on her heart as she spoke. sitting down next to veronica.

After a few minutes of conversation, better spoke excitedly

"when i heard the new i was so excited, i texted fangs and he said we can have her party here,"

as those word slipped out of Bettys mouth Cheryl's ears peaked, and suddenly she felt the pit in her stomach grow and her heart wretched.

"p-party, for who?" she questioned,

"Oh, shit," betty mumbled under her breath, but Cheryl heard,

"cousin explain, who's party and for why is there a party?" she said, even though she had a strong inkling of whose party it was. 

everyone was silent, until betty place her hand on cheryl's on the table top,

"Cheryl , we were gonna tell you, but toni said she wanted to adjust before seeing you again . . . you know ," betty spoke softly,

"And why pretel are you throwing Toni a party if she isn't even in riverdale," cheryl hissed feeling her anger rise,

"She is in riverdale," veronica blurted out slapping her hand to her mouth as she did,

"What. the. FUCK!" cheryl yelled getting up,

"Cheryl, w-where are you going?" veronica yelled as cheryl stormed out

"Cheryl babe where are you going," minerva asked grabbing cheryl arm stopping her from leaving,

"Get the fuck off of me," cheryl hissed as she ripped minerva's hand oh her arm and stumbled towards the door in a drunken state of numbness,

"Cheryl what the fuck," minerva yelled following her into the parking lot,

"W-We are over, i don't love y-you, i never will. never have," Cheryl yelled as the rain started to pour down 

"Cher-," minerva started,

"NO, you haven't earned the right to call me that, only Toni can calls me that, d-don't you get it i only love toni, i'm a lost cause, do you know why. B-because she will never love me back ever again" she splutter through her tears and the torrential rain pouring down.

She got in her car and sped into the dark street lamp lit night, the rain still spraying down on her convertible.

"Ronnie, quick call toni, warn her cheryl could be coming," betty yelled seeing everything that just happened unfold

veronica grabbed her phone and called toni, 

Toni

veronica: "hello Toni are you there?"

Toni: " Yeah, i am. Are you good?"

Veronica: Yeah, yes i'm good, But Toni Cheryl she was just at pops a-and now s-she know your back, we think she coming to your flat," veronica spluttered breathless,

Toni:" hey, hey veronica its cool, Your forgetting i have know that girl for almost 10 years.

 I know what she can be like sometimes i can deal with her, but thanks for the heads up V,"

Veronica: " No problem Toni, call if you need my help,"

Toni: "Got it thanks V Bye,"

Veronica: "Bye,"

At Toni's Apartment

Cheryl stumbled in tears up the stairs up to Tonis apartment door. she shivered as she was dripping wet from the rain and freezing from the bitter night air. Shaking, she raised her hand to the door and gently knocked. 

After a few seconds of waiting, which for the redhead felt like hours, the door slowly opened to reveal Toni standing before cheryl. cheryl looked up at toni from her toes to the top of her head.then looked back at her face. the pinkett looked at cheryl with a look of sympathy and sadness,

"Look at the state of you," Toni spoke softly offering her arms out towards the redhead.

cheryl collapsed into Tonis arms, toni embrace felt indescribable. Cheryl had felt at war with herself for 7 years and suddenly all from a single embrace she felt at peace. Every modecom of pain the girls felt melted away at that moment ... 

Ahh i'm back... So sorry for the long break but im back. I haven't been the best mentally at the moment but i'm doing alright now so here i am. Part two will be up ASAP. And like i said before sorry for the long wait and i also probably won't be finishing the lodge lodge story unless you guys want me to continue it. Comment if you want me to finish that story after i do part two to this one and get that published.
