Movie night?

Cheryl POV

My cousin had invited, me and Toni to a movie night at her house, along with Jughead, Archie and Veronica. Against Toni's will i said we would be attending.

"Toni please can you just come to the movie," i say looking at her,

"Cheryl i never in a million years would have agreed to come to this movie night, but you decided to say that we would without even asking me first,"

"Yeah Toni i didn't ask because you would say no, and beside it a movie night, why are you being so up tight about it,"

"omg i can't believe you sometimes, you know if for once you listen to how selfish you sound,"

"Toni I'm not being selfish, i just want to go to my cousins house with my girlfriend to watch a movie, is that really so much to ask,"

"If you are really asking that question, then you don't really know me at all do you," Toni says grabbing a jacket,

"Toni what are you doing,"

"I'm getting a jacket to go to the movie night with my girlfriend who knows me and loves me!"

"Jezzus Toni if you really gonna be a child about it then,"

"No Cheryl do not put this on me, i'm going are you," she said stomping down the stairs, toward the front door,

I was so confused, i didn't know why she was getting so made about one stupid thing. It not even a big deal, i have done worst things and she hasn't got this angry at me before.

"Chery, ARE YOU COMING!" she yelled up the stairs,

i wiped the stray tears from my eyes and ran down stairs to where i saw Toni waiting for me staring at the ground. i walked over to her a kissed her head but as i did she backed up,

"Common we are gonna be late," she said keeping her eyes fixed to the ground.

We drove to Bettys in the dark in complete silence, awkward silence. I honestly was so confused about what Toni was mad about. We pull up to the coopers house and both get out the car. i hop up the stairs and ring the door bell, and i feel Toni walk up behind me.

Veronica answers the door and opens it letting us in meanwhile saying,

"It a miracle they have arrived,"

"Your late," betty say walking out the kitchen with two bowls of popcorn handing one to Archie and one to jughead.

"Sorry cousin, we err,"

"Lost track of time," Toni blurted covering our tracks,

"Well its fine your here now," Veronica says,

"Okay, Toni Cheryl, since you two got here last you can share the armchair,"

"What," Toni said slightly raising her voice,

"I didn't think that would be a problem, you two are always sitting on each others laps,"

"No, it won't be a problem betty no need to worry," i say trying not to sound suspicious,

I make my way over to the chair and sit down followed by Toni who uncomfortable sits on my lap and covers our legs with a blanket. Betty starts the movie but i'm not paying any attention. Im pre-occupied by the fact that my girlfriend keeps squirming around on my lap. I gentilly place my hand on the arm of the chair trying to avoid touching Toni's thigh. But as i find a comfortable place to rest my arm Archie barges past bashing into my arm which then pushes my hand right onto Toni's inner thigh, making her jump up off my lap.
