I stared at the cottage in awe as I received a little nudge from Olivia. I looked at her and saw a golden retriever running towards us all at top speed - I bent down and patted the beautiful dog. She had bright blue eyes and (obviously) shaggy golden fur.

"Hello, beautiful!" I speak to the dog but didn't pay any attention to what was going on around me as Dylan and Olivia's parents were staring at me in awe.

"Dylan, Olivia. Just back in time for supper!" Their mother calls out. I quickly put my bags down and brush off any bits on my dress - I introduced myself as politely as possible,

"Hi. I'm Victoria Green!" I smiled, trying to get rid of any pain that may be visible. "You must be Mrs Williams and Mr Williams." Mrs Williams came towards me swiftly - this reminded me of the morning - so I took a couple of steps backwards. Mrs Williams looked at me with an uptight face.

"Darling, what is it that's bothering you?" She asked, extremely gracefully.

"Mum. She got kicked out and abused by her mother this morning. It's her eighteenth too!" Olivia explained.

"Oh, dear. Would you like to stay here for a while?" Mrs Williams asked.

"Thank you, Mr and Mrs Williams. I appreciate this!" I thanked them.

"Please, dear. Call me Walter." Mr Williams said,

"And call me Margaret!" Mrs Williams said. I smiled at the thought of staying somewhere so far away from home but so comforting. When we all walked inside, I could smell the cooking of chocolate cookies in the oven and I could feel the heat covering every inch of my cold body. To be honest, it felt like I could see a future inside this house. Maybe I will, maybe I won't; we won't know until the time comes. Olivia ran upstairs so I showed myself to the couch and sat by the resplendent lit fire. Just as I was starting to warm up, Dylan came in and sat next to me; for some reason, this sent cold shivers down my spine. This is when I realised that I hadn't opened the box that my parents gave me this morning. I started rummaging through my pockets and that is when I knew that I had lost it, yet again.

"Lost something?" Dylan asked, waving my box around. I looked at him with widened eyes and my mouth forming an 'O' shape.

"Ho-how did y-you get that?" I said. Overwhelmed and confused about what was happening. I reached my hand out to go grab the box, but Dylan moved the box away from me.

"What's the magic word." He said with a grin.

"Dylan." I say, "May I have my box back please?" I asked. His smile faded and he said,

"I'll accept your please but just for your information, the magic word was 'brush'" He gave me the box back and I slowly opened it, expecting nothing extremely special. Shockingly, I looked at the object in the box; a ring was perched in the slot, that the box contained, with a large and majestic diamond on it. Olivia walked in with a smirk placed upon her face,

"What's going on in here?" She asked. Olivia took a seat next to me and looked at the ring - she didn't even say anything, her facial expression already told us everything that she was feeling. Magaret and Walter soon walked in - they were so confused about the silence that filled the room.

"Why is it so quiet?" Magaret's voice trailed off when she saw the ring. I stood up and whispered,

"I'm going to go to bed."

"I'll come with you, I'll also show you to your room," Dylan said. We walked in absolute silence until Dylan put his hand out. Gratefully, I took it and he led me into a beautiful navy blue and white room with a grand golden mirror on the wall. There was a queen sized-bed against the left side of the wall and a pair of doors parallel to the door. The doors led to a small spruce wood balcony that overlooked the huge grassy hills of Anglesey. I took a couple of steps before saying,
