Laughing, we all skipped away from the cosy little cottage and towards.........god knows where! I looked over at the others and saw a suspicious little smile creep up on Dylan's face. I furrowed my eyebrows before asking,
"Dylan?" His beautiful, golden, hazel eyes locking with mine, "Why are you smiling so smugly?" He shrugged his shoulders,
"Victoria. Victoria. Victoria." He said in a low tone of voice, making me a little bit concerned for him, "If only I could tell you!" He smiled softly as we began to slow down. For a while, I was really confused as Dylan was acting way out of pocket; it was then when I realised 'What if I don't want to be his friend?' I started to question myself about what I want - then I remembered how Allison could be really full of herself and certainly doesn't like sharing. Olivia could see the hurt face that I was trying to mask,
"Victoria?" she asked, I hummed in response, "Do you mind if we go ahead a little bit I want to show you something....." Before she could finish her sentence, Allison interrupted,
"Can me and Dyl come?" Anger flushed through my body as I wanted to show her that life isn't a storybook that she can write herself,
"Privately?" Olivia finished, her hands clenched into a fist. Alison looked shocked, she nodded before clearing her throat and grabbing onto Dylan's hand. Dylan quickly rejected it and popped his hands in his pocket. Alison's face went bright red as Olivia and I took a different route from the so-called "lovebirds". After minutes of silence, Olivia sighed and pulled me down to sit on the bench next to her,
"How are you feeling?" she asked, I furrowed my eyebrows just like I did to Dylan, "Your acting......weird. Like you don't want to be here; what's wrong?" I took a shaky breath, keeping back the tears and blurted out,
"I'm jealous! I'm jealous! I'm jealous!" Olivia looked as if a bombshell had dropped from the sky, "Dylan and...her...they're so perfect and it's such a shame because Dylan hasn't even met the bad side of her! I feel so sorry for him. I liked him since the day I met him and everything was perfect until she showed up and ruined it!" then I quickly covered my mouth, realising how much I sound like my sister. Olivia started to take deep breaths,
"Just because you're jealous doesn't give you the right to be horrible to Allison! She is a human too for god's sake! Just put up with her and if you don't like her, at least pretend!" Vigorously, tears started to fall from my eyes as I started to rock back and forth. "Look, I'm sorry!" She said, her voice full of regret, "It's just, Allison isn't the nicest person like you said. I just didn't want to admit it but if you like Dylan," she started to smirk, "You should tell him!" I jumped up from my seat and shouted,
"No! No! No! No! No! I can't!" I fell to the ground laughing. Soon enough, an out-of-breath Dylan found his way to the bench, he said,
"Are you guys okay?" We both nodded, "Then why were you both shouting. Or at least you?" I sat up and looked at him sympathetically, then Olivia nudged me and pointed at Dylan, with a huge grin on her face. I shook my head. Dylan huffed, "Fine!" He shouted, "Don't tell me," then his angry facial expression became a mischievous facial expression, "I'll find out on my own!" I giggled. Olivia stood up, grabbed my hand and ran away from Dylan until he was just a silhouette.
"Olivia!" I whined, "Where are we going?" All she did was laugh and cover my eyes, "I'll let you know when you can stop walking!" She whispered, "Aaaand, stop!" My feet stopped underneath me as I quickly opened my eyes when she took her hands off of them. My eyes darted around. It was. Beautiful. There was a wooden bridge leading to a beautiful hut that had straw on the roof, a little red and white picnic blanket, a couple of beanbags and the clear, blue river surrounded it.
"This is beautiful, Olivia!" I exclaimed, she dragged me over to the picnic blanket and we started eating our brunch if you will. There was toast with butter and jam, strawberries dipped in chocolate, pancakes with chocolate spread and a variety of different drinks such as orange, blackcurrant and apple juice; water and milk. When we finished up, we decided to head back to the bench to see if Dylan was still there. As we arrived, Dylan fell over and we all started laughing until I heard Allison screaming and shouting. I quickly stood up and ran over to her, and she dragged me by the dress until Dylan and Olivia were out of my eye-line.
"Dylan and I have been dating since we met! Don't you dare ruin it! I can tell you like him and he is starting to like you!" She whisper-yelled, I gasped as she grabbed hold of my wrists,
"You're just jealous!" I shouted, "Dylan and I share the best friendship and if you want to act like a bad friend, then you would never understand what Dylan and I actually share!" Allison let go of my wrists and whisper-yelled,
"And you will not remember any of this!" She smirked as her dagger found its way to my stomach. Then, well, blackness surrounded me as I tried to stay awake.
"There is no point in trying!" Allison said in the distance. Soon enough, I surrendered as I flopped onto the ground.
