So much for leaving no trace. Barely in the office, Riven had already grabbed an empty glass, as well as the carafe filled with alcohol, and walked over to the desk with it to pour himself some. It was one thing to help oneself to the stranger's alcohol, from the director mind you, but to simply leave a glass with one's fingerprints was quite foolish.
According to Riven's information, they had about fifteen minutes to find what each of the three was here for. The break the Dowling took might be half an hour long, but that of her assistant, was no more than fifteen minutes. Less than fifty minutes they possessed three thus, because disappear Beatrix, Riven and Sierra had to finally also.
While Sierra was slowly wandering around the office and every now and then looked at the shelf, it turned out that Beatrix, was an air fairy. The crackling in the air made Sierra look to the second shelf, which the brown-haired fairy was clearly interested in and was tampering with using electricity.
"What are you looking for here anyway?", Riven wanted to know from Beatrix after he had made himself comfortable in the chair at the desk and Sierra took no notice of either of them, "Questions for exams?"
"Please. The tests we write here are at the very lowest level, aren't they?" said Beatrix, who was busy with the second bookshelf, "It's what they don't teach us that's interesting. The secret. The history of this place is darker than Dowling and the others would have us believe. I'm looking for the truth. Aren't you?"
"Obviously, someone never knew about the history of the world," Sierra said after blowing another cloud of particles towards the shelf Beatrix was working on, "People have always died in search of the truth. Some learned nothing and returned empty-handed. And those who might have found something didn't return to tell about it. Well, good luck Indy."
"Come on Nox, what was that little visit to Wald again?" the matter was downplayed by Riven and then turned to Beatrix because that should have settled the matter, "You must be such a total hotshot history nerd."
"What?", Beatrix acted offended, "Are you saying that one, contradicts the other?"
No, it didn't for Riven, but by then Beatrix had already made herself comfortable on his lap and started kissing him. This should now establish why Riven was actually here. Because of what the director's office might have offered, at least not.
In the back of her mind, the ticking of the expiring clock grew louder and louder, but nothing had happened yet, causing Sierra to let out a not-so-silent, rather annoyed groan, and Beatrix looked from Riven to her. If Callum had come out of his break earlier, which could be, then the assistant should certainly have heard her.
Restlessly, Sierra bobbed up and down on the balls of her feet, looking back and forth between the door and the two bookshelves, listening incessantly for any approaching voices. A rustling sound occurred, at which, with a joyful 'yes' escaping her, she went slightly to her knees as several loose pages began to fall to the floor, which she immediately began to pick up.
"Is she always this weird?" asked Beatrix, because as Sierra picked up each page and skimmed over the text, she let out incoherent words that were more meant for herself and not others.
"When you don't have anything important or useful to contribute, you usually shut up," Sierra replied saccharinely, looking from her notes to the brunette on Riven's lap and beginning to smile, "So, you have to shut up. You guys have fun. I have everything I need besides, I don't want to be here when Callum comes. Remember the glass."
Getting caught because Beatrix and Riven just couldn't wait until they were both in one of their two rooms was so unnecessary and stupid, which is why Sierra went without the two of them. There was talk of five, ten minutes at the most. You would think it would be easy to endure but as you could see, it wasn't.

At this point I would be happy to hear from you (:
