The hover train ride had kept Team Terra in a state of perpetual boredom for almost an hour. I flopped on the chair just as the train started to slow, presumably pulling into headquarters, the massive main building for the primordial army. My legion straightened up, the other eleven members looked at me with apprehension.

They were all dressed in their uniforms, camo jumpsuits under a void steel breastplate with a weapon of choice hooked into their belts. The suits had long sleeves and the camo tinge depended on what class you were in. Foot soldiers had regular camo, while navy legions were exclusively blue, no matter what position you had.Specialists, like weapon makers and healers, strategists, along with assassins and spy troops all wore black with an embellish a different color breastplate depending on your position. Aerials had yellow tinged camo. Any person holding the position of commander or higher wore a coronet band of metal above their brow. The infamous generals who lead the army also had a gemstone embedded in the middle. Everyone except the spies and assassins wore a void steel silver breastplate over their long sleeved camo pantsuit. Spy or assassin and you were granted a black plate.

I shrugged, "I already said I got a vague description from the commander to come to the headquarters with you guys for a mission briefing. Oh and that we needed to pack a bag, but that's pretty much it."

Bianca sighed good naturedly and the other demigods looked at me with mild curiosity.

The doors to the train opened to a shining train station, with high ceilings and an absurd amount of space made of quartz. My team and I had only been here twice before, once for the previous smackdown and another for a small mission out to a random kuiper belt for some recon.

I strode over to where commander Yas was standing. He was our region commander and a well respected Hijak former Legion Hylla soldier. He nodded in acknowledgement to my group and said, "Sergeant Jason, I see you have followed instructions. I was told to escort you to the elevator where you will be debriefed by another officer." His stoic facade did not change throughout his speech but my team and I looked at each other in confusion. He wasn't debriefing us?

He turned and strode toward the silver elevator doors and we shifted nervously behind him. Dakota's face looked almost downright constipated. The elevator doors opened to a lavish steel interior, glass windows stood on two of the walls giving an amazing view.

"You and your legion are going to your barracks and then you will proceed to a superior officer to be given your instructions. Here is the code you can put in the elevator to ascend to the correct floor."

We gave him looks of disbelief as the elevator climbed higher and he shrugged nervously.

The doors dinged and he gave us a final nod before we walked out into a spacious barrack area that could easily hold fifty people. It was wide and long with an adjoining large bathroom and concrete walls. Bunk beds lined the space with military corners and blue bed sheets.

Luke, Ethan, and Dakota ran and called top bunk on three of the closest beds. Zoe, holding herself with more dignity calmly strode past them. The rest of my team didn't even bother and just piled their bags up by the nearest bunk. All eleven pairs of eyes latched on me and I felt uncomfortable.

"Dang, I wonder why they are being so secretive about the whole thing, if we have a mission why can't Commander just tell us?" Charlie said rhetorically as he slumped on a bed.

Everyone else had the opposite reaction, they all stood up and went for the doors. "Well, if we want to find out we should get moving." Silena eye rolled her boyfriend and joined them. I walked toward them, my blond hair casually flopped into my eyes and I pushed it away.
