Chapter 29

Harry's POV -
I was with papa and dad composing a letter for Moony. "We could start with Whatsupp Moony..." Papa started before dad cut him off.
"No. We should start with Dear Remus Lupin."
"But that's so not me!"
"Look, what if it gets intercepted by Dumbles. It would be obvious it was you."
"Look, let's compromise. Let's say Dear Moony." I say
"Fine," Papa replies.
"Meet us at 12 on Saturday at The Hogs Head pub. We have someone you will want to meet," Dad continued.
"That sounds kinda ominous."
"It's fine. Now how are we signing off?"
"Just put S.Snape and then a small M in a circle with a line through it. You know what, I'll do it. He'll know what it means."
"I hope you're right about this. I don't want to lose you, not again."
"It'll be fine Sev." Dad sighed and kissed Papa on the head. We sealed the letter and sent Hedwig off with it.

Time skip to Saturday at 12
Dad and I (and obviously Tom) were sitting at the Hogs Head, waiting for Remus to come. When the scarred man walked in, he saw us and sat down at our table.
"How did you know about that symbol?" he asked.
"Come with us."
"No. How did you know about it? The only people who know about it are dead."
"Did you tell Dumbledore about the letter?"
"No."
"Good. Now come with us. All will be explained when we get there." Dad held out his arm and Moony took it. I grabbed his shoulder, holding onto Tom as he apperated us to Papa. "Hey Moons," he said. Remus turned at the sound of his voice and he looked like he'd seen a ghost. "Prongs.... But you're..." Moony said before running and huggging him. "How are you here? You're dead. I saw you. I went to your funeral. You and Lily died protecting Harry. From Voldemort. Why are you here? With Snape?"
"Remus. Do you remember seventh year?"
"Yeah, it's when you finally had the guts to ask out Lily."
"No. Please, try and remember. Lily and I were never more than friends. I asked out Severus, because I found out he was my mate. It was the same year you asked out Barty."
"Why would I ask out Crouch?"
"Because he's your mate. Come on Remus, remember."
"Here, drink this, it might help," dad said, handing a small vial to the werewolf. He downed it in one gulp and started blinking rapidly.
"I.. I remember. Why couldn't I before?"
"Dumbledore must have tampered with your memories."
"But why?"
"We don't know yet. But Voldemort didn't kill James and Lily, he just told everyone that he had and because he had so much power, everyone believed him."
"Well shit."
"Moony! You're the responsible one. You don't swear!" Dad exclaimed.
"What happened to Voldemort anyway?"
"Hello Mr Lupin, it's a pleasure meeting you." my mate said.
"Who the hell are you?"
"I'm Tom Riddle." After seeing Moony's face, Tom sighed and wrote out is full name, before rearranging the letters like he had done in second year (or maybe he hadn't, who knows anymore?)
"Wait so you're.."
"Yes."
"Why are you even here?"
"I'm Harry's mate. We are a package deal."
"Does Dumbledore know?"
"Yes."
"He hasn't told the order about this."
"You can't tell him," Papa said.
"I wouldn't dream of it. But, if you need a second spy in the Order, Tom, I'd be happy to help."
"Why?" Tom asked.
"Dumbles took away one of my best friends, put another in Azkaban for 13 years and took me away from my mate. I'm hardly going to go back and worship him, am I?"
"I would appreciate you being a spy. Even though I have Severus, Dumbledore doesn't quite fully trust him. We need someone who everyone trusts."
"I knew you were a spy. Anyway, I'll be happy to report back."
"It's settled."
"I'm sorry, but I have to go. I've got an Order meeting at 10:30."
"Goodbye Moony. I'll see you same time next week?" Dad said, with a hopeful question on the end.
"Of course Prongs. Severus, please can you apperate me back to the Hogs Head? Also, I'm pretty sure you're meant to be at the meeting."
"Shoot. Well, I'll apperate you two back to Hogwarts first, then I'll go to the meeting." Dad said, looking to Tom and I. We said goodbye to Papa, before grabbing onto Dad who apperates is to the Hogs Head, and then to Hogwarts.
