Adalin dresses and is soon ready to go to Watto's. Anakin is quickly ready as well so they leave early. They arrive at Watto and wait until Qui-Gon enters.
"The boy tells me you wanta sponser him in a race. How can you do this? Not on Republic credits, I think, huh" Watt says as he walks in. Adalin stands behind the counter this time, leaning forward to be closer to Anakin.
"My ship will be the entry fee" Qui-Gon says, taking out out a hologramer and shows a foot hologram of a Naboo ship.
"Oh, not bad... not bad... ah Nubian, ah" Watto says. Anakin looks at it in awe.
"It's in good order, except for the parts I need" Qui-Gon explains as he puts the hologramer away.
"What would the boy ride? He smashed up my Pod in the last race. It will take some time to fix it" Watto says.
"Ahhhh ... it wasn't my fault really... Sebulba flashed me with his vents. I actually saved the Pod... mostly" Anakin says like he just got in trouble for having droid parts laying around the house.
"That you did huh. The boy is good, no doubts there huh" Watto says, laughing.
"Well, I have acquired a Pod in a game of chance. The fastest ever built" Qui-Gon says to Watto, glancing at Anakin.
"I hope you didn't kill anyone I know for it" Watto says, laughing again. "So, you supply the Pod and the entry fee; I supply the boy. We split the winnings fifty-fifty, I think"
"If it's going to be fifty-fifty, I suggest you front the cash for the entry. If we win, you keep all the winnings, minus the cost of the parts I need... If we lose, you keep my ship" Qui-Gon says. " Either way, you win"
"Deal!" Watto says, slapping Qui-Gon's hand. Qui-Gon looks to Anakin and Adalin than leaves the shop.
"Yo bana pee ho-tah, meedee ya" Watto says. Adalin rolls her eyes.
(Your friend is a foolish one, methinks.)

Qui-Gon talks to his Padawan on his comlink while Adalin overhears again.
"Well, it's too dangerous to call for help now. A ship without a power supply isn't gonna get us anywhere, and... there is something about this boy... the girl..." Qui-Gon trails off.
"Who is she, Master?" His Padawan asks.
"Adalin Jinn-Uvain" Qui-Gon replies, straining to have no reaction to her name. There's a pause from the other side.
"As in the youngest to become a Jedi Knight?" He asks. Qui-Gon chuckles.
"Yes, Obi-Wan. The youngest Padawan to become a Jedi Knight" He confirms. He looks to Adalin who raises an eyebrow. "The same girl you once told me you had a crush on because of how smart and pretty she was"
"Master!" Obi-Wan shouts over the comlink. Adalin's cheeks tint pink as she blinks. She shakes her head in exaggeration and walks away from the Jedi Master who chuckles at both Obi-Wan and Adalin.
Adalin walks outside to Anakin and his friends at his podracer after Qui-Gon's conversation with his Padawan, Obi-Wan. Jar Jar suddenly hits the energy binders with his tongue as he tries to get something that he dropped.
"Ouch muy tonge is fat. Muy togne. Oucho" Jar Jar says as his tongue goes numb. Jar Jar reaches into the engine to get the tool he dropped but his hand gets stuck. "Hey! Ou-oh. Ow, hey, I'm stuck"
"You know, I find that Jar Jar creature very... odd" C3PO says to R2D2. Adalin chuckles silently as R2 beeps something.
"You don't even know if this things gonna run" Kitster says as Anakin jump into the pilot's seat.
"It will" Anakin tells him as Qui-Gon walks over and gives Anakin a power charge.
"I guess it's time we found out. Here use this power charge" Qui-GOn says. " Come on, Kitster. Let's move away"
"Mm... my mout. I'm stuck. Hep I'm s.." Jar Jar says. Adalin moves her hand to the right to help Jar Jar's hand with the Force. "Muy tonge is fat..."
She then moves her hand again, this time to the left, to get Jar Jar unstuck as R2 beeps something else.
"You're quite right. He's very odd indeed" C3PO says.
Jar Jar steps back as he pulls his hand back. He looks up from his hand.
"Ow, I... I fwree" He says, happily. Jar Jar gives Anakin the thumbs up and walks away from the podracer.
Anakin flips the switch and everything starts roaring. Everyone looks at each other with smiles.
"It's working! It's working!" Anakin yells over the noise.
