She breathed in the warming scent of fresh baked bread, of apple pie and all the good things the small village had to offer. The sight of so many people made her excited, but what really made her smile like crazy, was her first step onto the pavement.

"Watch her" the blonde signed to Jiro

"Ay, Y/N. Wanna have some fun in town?" the short haired female said as she linked arms with the girl

It was exciting to see how the life of a normal person was. How they traded and bought products and how freely they talked with everyone around them. It really did amaze her.

"You look like a child on the playground" Jiro joked around

"I really like it!" she smiled as she let herself get dragged across the busy streets of the village

"I don't get it! He keeps touching her" the brunette complained as she stomped her feet onto the ground

"Stop acting like that. You're a grown woman. Besides, he does not touch her in any way that you think. He simply put his hands on her stomach" Momo tried to calm down her friend as she looked through the clothes put for sale

"I'm telling you, she is messing with his head! That little prick. She thinks she's all that just because she is a mermaid" it was clear that Uraraka was frustrated over Y/N's simple existence

"Can you be a little more calm?" a stern voice scared the woman

Deku was Bakugou's friend. He stood by his side since their early teen years. But he was never alright with any of his decisions regarding women, and Uraraka was no exception. He thought of her as an annoying, reckless, dumb and a useless human, who did nothing more but fill his carnal needs.

"Easy for you to say...you don't have to worry about a fish stealing your man" she scoffed

"Your man?" the green haired boy laughed "I think you might have forgotten that Bakugou belongs to no one. He is not yours to claim. He simply uses you for sex, and he made that very much clear. Don't go around making false impressions about reality. You will only end up giving a hard time not only yourself, but to others" he hit her with the cruel reality

"You're just jealous" she tried to find an excuse

"Of what? Neither do I hold feelings for him or you. I am not jealous, I'm simply trying to give you a piece of reality. If you can't handle the truth...maybe you should stop sleeping with the captain"

"Midoriya...I-" she was cut off

"Don't call me that. It's Deku, alright? Now think about it and make a decision for yourself. You're a grown woman, it would be a shame to act like a teen in love"

"But it is love!" she shouted catching the attention of those around her

"It is not. You're not in love with Bakugou, Uraraka. And we both know that" he said before he walked away

Midoriya, as Uraraka called him, by his real name, knew her as they shared a few confession nights at the very beginning of their sailing together. He was aware of what kind of woman she was, and he knew that she was simply confused. But he was not going to stand back and watch as she made it hard for everyone, so he knew he had to get back to reality even if it hurt her.

"Have you ever had a corndog?" the girl asked as she handed her the food

"Not really. But it smells delicious" she said before tasting it

It was incredible to be able to taste such a thing. It was very simple, yet extremely delicious. She thought it was a shame that they did not have this at the palace.

"It's so good!" she smiled at her new made friend

Y/N held the royal title like its own crown, never being able to take even a step outside without the notice of the whole palace. She was never allowed to see or touch something that was not approved by the Queen or the Kingdom. She lived inside the stone walls of the Yueei palace, not knowing what the outside world felt like. This little misfortune seemed to allow her to enjoy the freedom of speech, of act and of choice, as she could do anything she wanted to. And the simple thought of it being her life from now on, made her heart warm up. Freedom was the one thing she craved the most, something that she will be deprived off soon enough. But she did not know that.

"Why are we even in a bookshop?" Kirishima asked as he looked around at the dusty shelves

"It's not like we're needing books, or do we?" Denki asked a but confused

"Idiots. I am surrounded by idiots" the blonde sighed "It's for stupid Deku's birthday. He likes reading, doesn't he?"

"Right!" the red haired one exclaimed

As the trio looked over to the tons of books displayed on the shelves, one certain book stood out to Denki, so he grabbed it, and flipped its pages over.

"Captain! This book has your map!" as soon as those words left his mouth, Bakugou pushed him aside to take a better look at the page

"What the hell is this?" he raised his voice

It was an exact representation of the map he had on the ship, the one that was supposed to lead him to the treasure of the mermaid, as it was called.

"It seems like this is an illustration book" Kirishima butted in "Excuse me, what's this?" he asked the old lady who owned the shop

With a gentle smile on her face, she came around to help the young men who seemed so interested in a children's books.

"That is the tail of the mermaid and the pirate. It's a children's illustration book" she explained

"What about the map?" Bakugou asked confused

"It's part of the story. In the story the pirate uses the magic map to go find the mermaid which turns out ot be the love of his life" she smiled warmly

In that moment it hit him. The map was no treasure map, but a simple illustration for kids, which simply meant that Y/N was not a mermaid and she never was one. Then...could she really be a royal as she claimed?

"Oi! Y/N!" his deep and loud voice made her turn around, only to meet his ruby red eyes starting back into her own

His stare was cold as usual, his body tense, he almost seemed scared to ask what he was about to. But she did not notice that.

"Who are you?" he asked her
