He tries to stay awake, expecting her to come through his door at any time, but the waiting prolongs, and around midnight he falls asleep.
In the morning, HeDi opens his eyes suddenly, almost startled by his own thoughts, wondering if he will find Yue by his side. He looks around and... Yue is sleeping on the floor.
On one side, he is relieved to see her there, on the other... Did she or didn't she agree to be his lifemate? Didn't they talk about the matter on her boat? Why did she not sleep on his bed? They shared the bunk the night before.

"Good morning..." she yawns, oblivious.
The awkward silence that follows makes Yue feel uncomfortable. Where is her forehead kiss? Why is he not doing or saying anything? Is he upset?
Yue sits and, with sleepy eyes, attempts to start a conversation.
"Is everything alright?"
"Why did you sleep on the floor again?" His tone makes Yue gulp.
Yue shrugs her shoulders as expected, and HeDi rolls his eyes and crosses his arms.
"I..." Yue attempts to find a reason, but words don't come out.
Why did she sleep on the floor? What is the problem? She does not even know herself.
Frustrated and annoyed, HeDi stands up to go outside and wash up in the creek.
As he moves past Yue, their feet accidentally meet. Their skins ignite with the unintentional contact, and they experience another glimpse of the future. This one, however, feels absolutely real, almost like a memory.
