Night Terrors
I see them...
When I close my eyes,
I see them...
They're after me,
I try to run and hide, but one way or another,
They always find me.
When they catch me,
I yell out in fear and desperation,
Just leave me alone!
By the time I open my eyes,
I see her worried ones look into mine,
Trying to let me know everything's alright.
But, they're here...
I can't hide from them anymore,
I'm worried they might find her too.
When I try to get up and face them,
She grabs me and pulls me back down,
Telling me that there's nothing here.
I try to listen to her,
But just by seeing them makes my skin crawl,
Just leave me alone...
By the next night,
I lay by her side and when I close my eyes,
I see them...
