Why Did The Chicken Cross The Road?

In the early morning, I wake up at the crack of dawn. As I leave the pen house, I can feel the sun's early rays resting upon my feathers.
I quickly ran off the track and through the farmer's yard. As dangerous as it is, I take my chances on cutting across his yard and getting to the house across the street faster than taking the long way by going around the barn house and over the bridge.
The other animals would surely see me and make a ruckus. Then the farmer would see me for sure.
Once I got to the edge of his lawn, I looked around to make sure that none of those loud big cows were zooming around. Although, they do look rather strange for a cow...
They don't have any spots or any snouts. But, they sure do have a loud Bottom when they pass by.
When I felt like it was safe enough to cross, I high tail it. The rough little rocks click with every step I take, my claws clacking away as I run across the street.
Once I made it to the other side, I wasted no time in hoping up the stairs, just in time when the door quietly opened.

"Oh, cute little thing. Are you here for some more food already?"

A sweet voice said of an old lady who walked out onto her porch. She grabbed a small bag of cat food and poured some into a green glass bowl. I happily ate the cat food as the old lady began to pet my head.

"My you're hungry today. I bet all you felions need this food to keep your coats clean. Though, you do feel rather strange for a cat."
