Quiet Tap Of The Water Faucet

There was no other noise like the quiet tap of the water faucet.
As I stood there, like before,
water falls and caresses me, and then leaves me to the darkness once more.
I feel my tired legs give as I slip and fall to the cold cementric floor.

The water once masking my tear filled eyes, now shine as I crawl to the walls, crying out for them not to leave me once more.

For there was no other noise like the quite tap of the water faucet, I look up and realize that I was all alone all along.
And as I stood there, like before,
they fall and caress me, and then leave me to the darkness once more.
I feel my arms rise as I cry, asking god why.

The water once masking my tear filled eyes, now shine as I scratch my nails into the walls, crying out for them not to leave me once more.

For there was no other noise like the quite tap of the water faucet, it's here where I ask myself: what was wrong with me?
