Apollo and artemis: take on the city

Chapter 1

Kevin and his brother daniel are reading some greek mythology in their bedrooms, since its sunday and no school they decided to chill at home and enjoy some great epic stories from ancient time. They even play pretend to make the stories come to life, at first it was fun then the brothers felt like their pretend game would be so much cooler if gods, heroes, and monster are still around in the modern day. Kevin sit at his bed while daniel kept reading the book, they are waiting for their parents to returned. 

" Hey bro, by any chance's do you ever want to meet a god? " kevin ask

" Sure, if they exist " daniel said

" I mean, they got to exist right? I mean, amazing stories don't just happen by themselves right? " kevin ask

" Maybe they do exist but... they never show themselves to humans again eversince we went from ancient to modern, why do you suddenly want to meet one? " daniel ask

" Because, life these days are soo boring. The ancients sure have it fun with the heroes and monster stuff, how come it never happen again in this life? Have our ancestor lost their sense of adventure? " kevin said

" Probably... along with their sense of care, come on bro. So what if today there's no monster or heroes, we can still have adventure using our imaginations. And beside, when dad got that promotion we can go around the world and have a real adventure " daniel said

" Yeah, i guess. You know what, this is boring with just the two of us, let's invite cory to play pretend with us " kevin said

" Okay, but don't make her to play any scary monster or mom could be really angry " daniel said

" Okay, come on let's go! " kevin said and he and daniel went to cory in her room

Meanwhile, unbeknown to mortals and the siblings. The gods do exist and yes they still live on mount olympus in greece, however because of the modern era they have adapted to living like the mortals. The gods aren't busy but they are entertaining themselves, now that humans don't believe in them they have put all of their powers to keep themselves entertain and wait to see if there is any human who needs their help. All of the gods were kinda happy with their life style except for artemis and apollo, the twin archer just got a time out for disrespecting their father's wishes. All artemis wanted was to experience the life that she and her families have long experience but now has been taken away because of that dumb rule, apollo was just tagging for fun but he is on artemis's side on this one.

Artemis look around her throne with apollo to see if there is any family member spying on her to see if she is doing any funny business, as much as artemis can and want to escape. She know that there was no use disrespecting her father again, apollo seem pretty chill playing his lyre with a happy face. Artemis couldn't take the boredom any longer and decided to ask her brother for his opinion.

" Brother, can i ask. How can you be so happy? we're grounded, dad is really not letting us go this time " artemis said

" Come on sis, being grounded isn't so bad. At least we got off easily, if we we're ares or hermes that would have been a different stories. So... enjoy it and be grateful " apollo said

" Sigh... THIS FAMILY IS GETTING OLD!!! " artemis yelled finally letting out all of her frustration

" Woah, sis. What are you doing? Do you want dad to hear that? " apollo whisper

" I don't care! Our family was respected back then but now... we've been forgotten and everyone thinks we're nothing but imaginary or make believe people, i want my life back... " artemis sigh

Apollo felt terrible for his sister, she was so much of the straight person of the two of them but now... this really boring life style have change her. Apollo was about to comfort her when suddenly their father zeus appear before them, he look both happy and annoyed. Apollo wonder if he heard artemis yelling a while back, that will be even more terrible. Zeus approach them and spoke " Kids, how's you're punishment? Do you learn anything from your time out? " zeus ask and apollo smiled " Yes father, we promised we won't do that again " zeus seem pleased then he look at artemis " Artemis, what about you daughter? " but artemis remained quite.

Zeus was getting impatient then he ask again " Artemis! Can you hear me?! " eventually artemis gives her answer " Yes father... " zeus knew why she responded like that " Honey, i know you're sick and tired of this life style but please understand. I'm doing this for all of our good " artemis felt like laughing in annoyance but she remained silent " Okay honey, you know what you win. Whatever is it going to take for you to talk to me? And you know i don't like people giving me the cold shoulder... it reminds me of hera when she's angry... " zeus shiver at the thought.

Artemis thought about it and it din't take her too long to figure something.

" You know father, i think the only way for you to understand is that if you send me and apollo down to earth to help a mortal and to prove once and for all that mortal still needs us " artemis said

" What? " zeus and apollo gasp

" Sis what are you- " apollo said

" Oh, so you still think mortals still needs us? Well, interesting. Now how will this go? " zeus ask

" We go down to earth, help a mortal, and prove that we can still be the righteous and powerful gods that people worship then... we can live our life's the way we're suppose too " artemis said

" Oh... interesting, well let's make this even more interesting shall we. You and your brothers are only allowed there in human form, you must live like them. No powers, no funny business, and must be 100% human. Which mean, go to school and find a job while helping the mortal. If you two succeed then i will allowed the gods to roam free into the world " zeus said

" Sweet! " artemis said

" But, if you ever get exposed as gods then you are to returned back here and we are to never have this conversation again. Do we have a deal? " zeus give his hand for a shake

" Deal " artemis shake zeus's hand

With that, zeus left leaving apollo confused with what artemis just did.

" Sis! What was that for? " apollo ask

" It's the only way bro, the only way for us to get our live's back " artemis said

" Yeah but, how are going to find a mortal to help, hardly doubt there's one. Unless your thinking about saving someone from a deserted island but i don't think there's a school or a job there " apollo said

" No silly, i already have someone in mind. Do you remember those two people who saved us once when we went to the mortals world? " artemis ask

" Oh yeah, those two. Yeah, they were so kind. If it wasn't for those two, we might never make it " apollo said

" Well guess what, today we can repay them and prove to dad that people still needs us " artemis said

" Great, but... where are they now? I mean it's been an hour since we last saw them " Apollo said

" Actually, for mortals we've been gone for a year " artemis said

" So... how do we find them? " apollo ask

" Don't worry, i'm sure they are still there in new york city. Come on let's search them trough the internet, i'm sure google know something. Afterall they are famous business worker " artemis said as she and apollo go to her room

Okay, for all of you who know these two people who help artemis and apollo during their shenanigans in the mortals world are none other than the underwood families mom and dad. While playing in new york city, artemis and apollo were hungry and din't have any money to eat then mr and mrs underwood came and offer to pay for their meal. Thanks to that, artemis and apollo were already fulled and are ready for another adventure. Before they can properly thank them, they leave in a hurry because of their jobs but they left artemis and apollo some money. Artemis and apollo din't know where they lived but they do know their names, eversince then artemis and apollo have wanted to repay them. And now they can, hope it will turn out good.
