Apollo and artemis: take on the city

Chapter 12

Today... is the big day, well not until after school that is. After finishing school the gang prepared for their secret trip, they all decided to meet up at the front doors and the siblings are waiting for the twins.

" where are they? Its been 25 minutes already " cory ask looking at the clock

" well i guess teenager's dressed up very long than we do " kevin said

" yeah but- " daniel said

" Sorry we're late! " artemis said as she rush to the kids with her brother

" and there they are... finally " daniel continued

The siblings while grumpy that the twins take's too long to get dress was actually couldn't help but admired what they're wearing, artemis was wearing a blue sleevess dress tied with a light blue ribbon on her waist while apollo was wearing a T-shirt with a musical note in it and some plain jeans. While they are dress normal, the siblings couldn't help but woah at them.

" woah, you guys look amazing " kevin said

" so that's why you guys took so long, and here i thought you guys are running late " cory said

" we're really sorry, i get dress fast but my brother's the one who took so long and he want's me to wait for him " artemis said looking at her brother

" i like having her wait " apollo smiled

" right... anyway, now that we're all here. Time to go " cory said as she open the door

" where exactly are we going? " artemis ask

" you'll see " the siblings said

" Hey... where are your friends artemis? " kevin ask

" oh, about that. I just got a called last night that they can't make it because of full schedule " artemis said

" aw... that's too bad, but i guess that means it's only the 5 us huh? " cory ask

" yeah, i guess so. But, let's  have fun for them " kevin said and everyone agreed

Soon they took a taxi and immediately head straight to new york city, after an hour car drive. They stop at a district to have fun first before going to their secret destination. The gang went on so many shops like the bakery, clothes store, and toy shop.

They bought a few things and of course everyone have a blast, artemis wonder if this is what human families  feel everyday. She never felt this before, because her family is different. But she's grateful that she can experience all of this along with her brother, she's starting to think that this was the greatest idea she ever had.

Soon, the siblings decided that its time to go to their secret destination. Since the district their in is close to their secret destination, it wasn't a very short walk.

After a minute walk, the gang finally made it to..... wait for it............ CENTRAL PARK! Artemis and apollo can't believe they're going to  new york's famous park.

" woah! New york's central park? Ahaha... you kids are full of surprises " artemis said

" yeah, thanks for bringing us here. You kids rock " apollo said as he high five the siblings

" glad you like it " kevin said

" we wanted to show our appreciation to you two for taking care of us so we decided to bring you here " daniel said

" really? Aw... that so sweet " artemis said

" well, what are we waiting for? Let's go! " apollo said

Everyone went inside the park and artemis couldn't help but admired the beautiful nature of the park, it feels just like home. Back when she was hunting with her nymph's, running and chasing after a prey and enjoying all that mother nature has to offer. How she miss that life, but she knew she will get that life back if she took great care of the kids. So she's going to do her best.

As they are walking, cory's tummy began to rumble. Cory couldn't help but be embarrased by the sound of her stomach, the one that noticed was artemis and apollo.

" uh... hey everyone. How about a snack break? " artemis ask

" huh? Oh yeah, sure " kevin said

" great, i'll go get us some snacks. I think i saw a hotdog cart somewhere " artemis said

" okay, then i'll look after the kids " apollo said and artemis noddes

" well, see you guys " artemis said and then she left

After she left, apollo took cory closer to his side and whisper in her ears " don't worry cory, artemis will get you something to eat if you're hungry " cory was shocked to hear that " wait... how do you two know i was hungry? " cory ask and apollo just smiled " oh, we know these things " which made cory confused.

Artemis kept walking north to find a hotdog cart, as she's walking. She decided to take in the beauty of the park even more, as she is in a daze. She accidentally bump  someone, and fell really hard " OW! " artemis yelled " who was that? " artemis thought as she get up.

To her surprised it was none other than " Aiden?! " she gasp and so did aiden " Artemis?! " they both couldn't believe they actually met here and at the same day and time" what are you doing here? " they both said together. They couldn't help but laugh at how in sync they were.

" i can't believe we actually met here " artemis said

" yeah, so again what are you doing here? " aiden ask

" oh, i'm just here with the kids having fun. Right now i'm going to a hotdog cart to find some food, but... still. What are you doing here? " artemis said

" oh, i was just taking a walk. Its nice to take in the beauty of nature from time to time, it really helps you feel calm and relax from all your troubles " aiden said

" woah... he's actually doing the same thing as i am. Y-you know since were here together do you... want... to... " artemis said

" go on a date with you? Sure i'd be happy too " aiden smiled

" WHAT?! N-NO! I WAS JUST THINKING MAYBE WE CAN HANG OUT! " artemis scream and aiden couldn't help but laugh

" ahaha... relax artemis, i was joking. Of course, i be happy too. Ahaha... you should have seen your face " aiden laugh

" geez... you little, don't think i will let this slide. As punishment, you have to buy the hotdogs for me " artemis said

" okay, sounds fair. Good thing my parents give a good amount of allowence, anything for my awesome friend " aiden smiled

" oh... uh... thanks... " artemis said, then she started to blush

" okay, then shall we? " aiden gesture

" ..... we shall " artemis gesture back

Artemis couldn't help but thought he also speak the same words just like her brother which made her happy, as they walk together. Artemis realised that they are walking trough a street where there are a lot of couples everywhere going on dates, artemis couldn't help but feel embarassed and uncomfortable.

Seeing that she and aiden are walking together, it feels like " we're a couple... " artemis thought then shook her head at what a " ridicilous idea am i thinking, pull yourself together artemis! " she told herself.

Aiden, after a 10 minute walk aiden noticed artemis feeling uncomfortable. He noticed the couple district they are entering and knows how akward this situation is, so he did the one thing that might help lessen the atmosphere. By holding her hand.

" Huh?! " artemis gasp, seeing their hands entertwine

" don't worry, its just a friendly hand holding and nothing else. Its okay right? " aiden ask and artemis couldn't help but smiled

Normally if that was another guy with gross thought, artemis would have yank her hands away and punch the guy until he fainted. But, aiden was different. He can sense the atmosphere so he help artemis feels better by making her feel not standing out, artemis can sense that and she was happy aiden is helping her. And so she said " yes, i don't mind " as she hold his hand back.
