Apollo and artemis: take on the city

Chapter 5

Artemis and apollo are escorted to their rooms, and they were amazed by how spacious it is. Mr toby explain they can do whatever they want with this room since it's theirs now, so he and mrs laura left to go shopping for their things while apollo and artemis unpack their stuff.

" woah, the underwood family sure are nice. I can't believe they give us such a great room, back in ancient times its hard finding someone who's this nice " apollo said as he unpack his things

" i agreed, but we have to be careful. I can't believe we almost slip our secrets about being gods, let's promised to be more careful " artemis said and apollo agreed

As they're unpacking, artemis realised that. The clothes they have are nothing but togas, they have unpack their first lugagge but their second is where are all their clothes are. Artemis was worried.

" um... i forgot, we brought nothing but togas... i hardly doubt we'll be able to wear them outside in new york " artemis said

" yeah, people are gonna think we're weird or we're heading straight to a toga party " apollo said

" well, we have to try with what we have. Maybe we can go to a clothes store to get them improved... we can't buy clothes because we don't have any money and the fact that dad never pay us much" artemis said

" yeah, that's a good idea " apollo said

As artemis and apollo open their second luggage and to their surprised, their lugagge was filled with really cool and fashionable clothes all ready to be wear. The twins were surprised to see that, how could that happen... unless...

" apollo, did you do this? " artemis ask

" what? No! Of course not " apollo said

" but how can this be? If you din't do this then... oh... i get it " artemis said

" what is it sis? " apollo ask

" this must be aphrodite's work... man that goddess sure is sneaky and mischevious as always... surprisingly this time in a good way " artemis said

" really?! Oh woah sweet! Next time if aph ever offered us her fashion line we have to take it, THANKS APH!!! " apollo scream

" yeah, i'll rethink about it " artemis smiled

As they're unpacking, artemis and apollo head straight to redecorating their rooms. They fix and reorganized a few stuff until after 1 hour they finaly finish, it was already a clean and beautiful room. All that chores they do in olympus really pay off, as they we're celebrating they heard a knock on their doors " excuse me, can i come in? " the voice said and the twins replied " sure " then cory came in.

" hai, i'm cory. I'm seven years old and i love unicorns, pleasure to meet you two " cory said

" hai, i'm artemis and this is my brother apollo... but i'm sure you already know. We haven't really properly introduced ourselves to you and your brothers " artemis said

" it's okay, i actually came here to test your babysitting ability " cory said

" our what? " they both ask

" well, since you're going to babysit us. I want to know if you two have what it takes to take care of us, are you prepared? " cory ask

" sure absolutely, what should we do to prove ourselves? " artemis ask

" well, can you please make dinner. Normally mom's the one who makes it but she's gone shopping so... show me your cooking skills, bye " cory said then she left

Artemis and apollo felt a big tension in their bodies, if there's one thing they're not good at it's cooking. They we're hoping like an easy task like cleaning which they're good at ( thanks to hera's endless chores to keep the families active ) but cooking is they're weak points. If they cook, they always hope they don't burn olympus down but don't worry they've gotten good over the few millenia. Artemis thought.

" hm... well, i may not be a great cook but at least i know a few cooking tricks thanks to aunt hestia. She taught me how to cook mousakka and papoutsakia " artemis said

" really? Well auntie taught me how to cook pastitsio and souvlaki, i think i can do better " apollo said

" excuse me, but i'm better now. You always forget to check the oven and toaster, how can a klutz like you cook? " artemis said

" hey! Like your talking, you can't fry really well. And you always burnt them in the end, all in all i think i'm more suited for this than you " apollo said

The twins glared at each other intensely, if cory see's this she would have wish for something else rather than cooking but it was too late. Artemis was the first to talk " you really want to do this brother? " apollo smiled " you bet, let see what you got emy " artemis growled at her brother " DON'T CALL ME THAT! " instantly flames of rivalries sparks and the twins instantly went down to the kitchen to cook.

They made their way down, while fighting their way to the kitchen. As they made it, they both wear an apron and started preparing ingredients and tools they need to cook. They made such a ruckus that the kids went to see what was wrong in the kitchen. They took a small peek at the door and was surprised to see apollo and artemis cooking with such intensity and speed that it almost look like a competition. The siblings were amazed.

" woah, what's gotten into them? " kevin ask

" i told them to make dinner not start a war... but... this is kinda interesting " cory said

" really? Shouldn't we stop them? I feel like they could destroyed the kitchen if they keep that up... what should we do? " kevin ask

" uh... maybe we can wait, i mean. They'll calm down eventually, beside this atmosphere is telling us we shouldn't get involved " daniel said and the siblings reluctantly agreed that that was the best thing to do

After 5 hours, the twins have finally finish. They put out all of the foods they prepared in the dining table, the siblings were amazed by how many food the twins made. In fact they're foods that they're not familiar with since its a greecian food.

" woah, this is amazing " cory said

" you guys sure have outdid yourselves " daniel said

" what kind of food are these? They don't look like any food i ever seen " kevin ask

" They're food from where we come from " artemis said

" yeah, they're all greecian food. I made the meatballs and soups " apollo said

" and i made the meat and eggplant " artemis added

" Sweet! Let's dig in! " daniel said

Just then, their parents have arrived with a few groceries. And was quite surprised to see a buffet at their dining table.

" woah, what's all of this? " mr toby ask

" dad, artemis and apollo made all of this. You have to try this greecian food " daniel said

" really? Woah, that's amazing " mrs laura said

" ahahaha... well, don't mind if we do. This will be a great way to first taste the wonders of greece " mr toby said as he walk to the dining table

As they families are eating, artemis and apollo realised they might have gotten too far with their competition.

" you know what, maybe we went too far " artemis said

" yeah, i'm so glad we din't get caught " apollo said

" maybe for this time, we shouldn't be too competitive with each other. For safety " artemis said

" yeah great idea, but you have to admit i think they like my food bett- " apollo said

" don't even think about it " artemis said and apollo nervously nodded

Mr and mrs underwood soon ask them to join them at the dining table because they can't miss they're own cooking too, so they join them as well.

However, they're real jobs start tomorrow. Artemis and apollo's real trials is just about to begin.
