9) From Paris to Brazil to London

It was already night again in Paris, their second day. They all gathered in the same room.
"Okay, so were are we going?" Jeongyeon asked.
"We're going from left to right, next stop is Brazil." Jihyo replied.
Like the first time they gathered in a circle, without hesitation Seoyeon began to teleport.
Now they were in Brazil, in front of them was Christ The Redeemer.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Time: 7:00 pm

"If Chaeyoung touches a discoloured brick, does this mean that we do the same for this?" Dahyun asked.
"I don't know, but some will go inside and some will stay outside." Jihyo instructed.
Jihyo, Chaeyoung, Dahyun, Momo, Mina, Park Seoyeon volunteered to stay outside.
Whilst Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Im Seoyeon, Tzuyu, Sana and Somi went inside the statue.

"So what do we check first?" Nayeon's sister hooked her arm around Somi's neck.
"We can check the access holes from the arms and the top of the head."
They all started to climbed to the top, again Jeongyeon noticed that Nayeon kept silent so did Tzuyu and Sana.
"Nayeon is still not talking." Sana spoke.
"Isn't it best that way?" Tzuyu joked, getting a slap on the arm by Sana.
Jeongyeon grabbed Nayeon's sleeve and pulled her aside letting the others to continue to climb.

"What's wrong?" Nayeon inquired.
"I should be the ones who's asking."
Nayeon stood and sighed, "There's nothing wrong."
"You've been silent ever since we came to France and apparently there's nothing wrong with that?!"
Nayeon was about to walk away, but Jeongyeon grabbed her again.
"Nayeon, please tell me what's wrong."
Another sigh came from her.
"I'll tell you."

"Anyone found anything?" Jihyo, raising her voice so she could be heard.
"Nothing." Her sister replied.
Mina flew up to the top of the statue searching every part of it, there wasn't anything of use except that one of the statues thorns was worn out, different from the others. She saw Tzuyu and Sana on one side of the hand, whilst Somi and Seoyeon were on the other side.

She ducked inside where the whole sits on top.
"You all are still climbing?" Mina grinned as she looked down at Nayeon and Jeongyeon.
"Give us a break, we all can't fly you know." Nayeon heavily panted.
"I've found something." She let Nayeon up to the top.
"What am I looking at?" She questioned.
"One of the thorns is worn out."
"You mean the one that's glowing?"
"Wait- what?"
In front of Nayeon the moon shone onto the thorn, glowing strangely that it made her want to touch.
Slowly with one finger, close enough she could see the light getting brighter, it what like someone was telling her to touch it and she did.

After she did, the light went away. The only thing that happened was a rumbling sound.
"Nayeon, what happened?" Jeongyeon asked.
Nayeon looked around, down on the ground the others gathered around the back of statue's pedestal.
They saw Dahyun and Momo waved as something opened below.

"What did you do?" Nayeon's sister asked her as they got down to the ground.
"I touched it like Chaeyoung did."
"I'm a good influence." Chaeyoung smirked.
Another dark stairwell going downwards, same routine as the three girls waited above while the rest went down.
"Every time I go down these stairs I'm about to throw up." Momo motioned her head upwards.
"Please don't do it." Tzuyu shook her head by thinking about it.

At last they reached the floor, this time the room was mildly lit, you could see all the 9 landmarks and again a different writing than the last two.
"At least we can actually see this." Chaeyoung spoke.
Jihyo stepped forward and read aloud, "As a team fight for what's right, do not fight of what your dreams may be."
"What our dreams may be." Dahyun repeated, "What does that mean?"

Next to it was an even bigger engraving. There stood two figures on the wall, dark and ominously tall. We're they shadows? Or were they hooded?

Everyone was confused, but one member felt uneasy.
Jihyo closed her eyes imaging the same two figures in her dreams. Who — What were they?

"We still have time left, we can go to London." Jeongyeon announced.

TWICE quickly reunited with the three girls and were off to London. Seoyeon teleported them to Big Ben.

London, England
Time: 10:00 pm

"Maybe after we can ride the London Eye." Chaeyoung almost said jokingly.
"Too bad it's closed." Mina sighed.
They walked up next to Big Ben, Jihyo carefully examined it. She noticed that it would be hard since every part of it could lead to a door.
As always Mina flies up and checks above whilst the rest continue to search along the bottom, all but one.

"Tzuyu aren't you going to help?" Sana spoke, Tzuyu was leaning against Big Ben.
"You guys always find it, you'll be fine." She said before hearing a crack on what she was leaning on.
The side opened ajar, making the two girls panicked in fear.
"Tzuyu what heck?!" Sana shrieked, "What did you do?!"
Tzuyu did something troubling as they the others noticed their distress.
"Why are you guys freaking out?" Dahyun asked.
"Nothing, just nothing." Tzuyu shrugged as she lied.
"Tzuyu I can see what you did!" Nayeon shouted, "You broke Big Ben!"
Before the others could react, Sana shushed them.
"What are we going to do?" Somi started to panic.

Mina flew down, she checked the area that Tzuyu 'broke' and noticed that she didn't break it. It was door, she opened it wide and it revealed a strange door.
"I think you have to see this." She called out to the others.
TWICE went inside the small room, with Jihyo trying to see if there was a way to get inside the door something turned on.
A camera with a blue light shone on them.
"What is that?" Jeongyeon asked.
"It's a scanner." Mina answered.
The camera looked around, they didn't know who they were looking for, but they stood still.
Then it fixated on Tzuyu, the others stood back.

"Scanning complete, Welcome Chou Tzuyu."

The door opened as the robotic voice finished speaking.
"This getting more freaky." Momo spoke.
The door led to an elevator, Twice stepped inside and immediately the elevator descended.
It came to a sudden stop when the door opened leading to another room, again lit mildly.
"Have you noticed that every time we go to these landmarks, it's either dark or mildly lit." Chaeyoung said.

As expected another writing was on the wall. Jihyo started to read out loud, "One must force themselves to extinction."
"Extinction?" Chaeyoung questioned.
They all shrugged their shoulders.
"Another writing that we don't know what about." Nayeon sighed.
"They must mean something." Jihyo paced the room.

The engraving next to it made it even more difficult, nine bodies stood next to each other, each one turning their heads to the right.

"Let's just go back." Sana demanded.

As they were about to exit the Big Ben, Jeongyeon pulled Nayeon aside.
"You have to tell them."
"It will only get worse." Nayeon shoved her.
"It's only way to get out of your head, tell them." Jeongyeon slightly smiled.
"But... I'm afraid."
"I'll be here, we'll all be here."
