19) Restoring The World

Was it all over?
Was it the end of the war?

Jihyo opened her eyes, her friends were still beside her and in her hand was the white sphere.
The two sisters were pulled into the white and green sphere, everything seemed to be here.
"Did we do it?" Mina asked as she opened her eyes.
Something appeared in front of them, nine floating figures, they looked a bit fiercer than those before but this time they were all female.
Two figures floated towards them.
"Thank you, for saving us." One said.
"Thank you for returning to ourselves." The other spoke.

They bowed and the rest followed their lead, each of them had a smile.
"You fought well."
And they disappeared into thin air back into the spheres they were kept.
One into Nayeon's and the other into Jihyo's.
"Is it over?" Chaeyoung asked.
The city went quiet, the silence lingered far too long. Where was everyone?

TWICE had peered over to the streets. There was no one fighting, no commotion to be heard.
They watched as everyone kneel down, first the villains and the heroes. The villains didn't do it for respect, it was for humility. They couldn't beat them even if they tried.

They were the girls who wielded the sphere, the lost tale that a few people knew. It wasn't just one, but nine spheres could do more than anything they put their minds to. The villains surrendered fighting their last battle scared to carry on.

"They're all kneeling." Jeongyeon said. Maybe it was all a fever dream.
The girls climbed down to the ground, everyone bowed their heads and cleared a path for them to walk.
"You girls did it." Mr Yeon spoke from the crowd as he stood up, "You became the impossible."

The impossible, that seemed like a myth or a joke. It was true though, no one had ever known about the nine spheres or even what power the white could hold. The guardians of the sphere had made it real for them. The power — their power were past onto them, the new generation.

Everyone was waiting still kneeling.
The girls looked at Jihyo, the one who was originally called the Legend.
"Care to take your role." Nayeon chuckled as the rest avoided her eyes.
Jihyo took a step and a deep breath, everyone was looking at her just like the first time she had to speak in front of a crowd. This time she knew what she wanted to say.

"From the heart..." She whispered.
"No more fighting, no more wars. All of you and I mean all of you fought your battles well. It all stops now." She could feel her friends' gaze from behind. It gave her strength.
"I want everyone to get on their feet, this isn't about us — it's about you and the city. We have to rebuild it. We have to restore the city."

Cheers paraded the streets and the heroes sang at the top of their lungs. The Outlaws, the villains were silent.

Jihyo looked back to see her friends looking anxious.
"What are we going to do with the rest of them?" Dahyun crossed her arms.
Jihyo smiled, "To those who fought against us it was your fault to take part, but your surrender will not be forgotten." Their eyes sparkled a glimpse of hope.
"It's hard being an outsider, an Outlaw. Just this once we can let this slide only if you rebuild our city."

Those who were silent became lively once again. A few at a time each Outlaw and Revolutionary cheered in unison for their heroes. They screamed out for the legends, to those who had saved them from the immortals.

"Our leader!" Tzuyu sang.
"You've done well." Nayeon shook her arm.
Their eyes caught on the spheres in their hands.
"What are we going to do with them?" Sana asked.
"Lets put them back where they belong." Jeongyeon smiled.

I want to say I'm very sorry for the late updates, I have a lot of things on my mind and had no motivation to write.

But I'm back and I'll finish this book and hopefully the get my next book published, still don't know what story it would be but I will!
