Y/N'S POV
Seeing Peter cry hurts.
Way more than I thought it would.
It made me think, was this really worth it? To hide. To lie. To make deals so no one would learn the truth.
I was hurting him by protecting myself.
So I sent a note, brought up my hood and walked to his table and dropped the note.
I'm sorry.
Maybe it would be nice to talk.

He would know.
He would talk. I could explain why and then we could live happily ever after... in about five years.
The sunset and it was time. Time to talk. Time to just have a normal conversation.
"I see you're wearing a hoodie again." Peter came
"Easier to hide yourself in."
"From me?"
"From myself."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
"I'm sorry for making you go on a wild goose chase for nothing."
He sat down beside me "I wouldn't say for nothing, brought me back to you like I wanted."
"You still don't know-"
"But I will. At some point I will know and I will love you and care about you even if you don't love me back."
"I'll send you on an actual scavenger hunt to find me if you want." the exact thing I was trying to avoid, yet for some reason it felt so good to just let him in. To give Peter Parker a chance.
"Yes please. I wanna see how long it takes with a whole school on my side."
"Not the entirety of our school is on your side, I've got one on mine."
"It came from bribery didn't it."
"Well- yes, yes it did."
"Well you know some things about me now but now I think I'll send you to your first clue."
"Oh please tell."
"MJ."
"Who?"
"Exactly."
We sat together for a while. Slowly getting closer. Shuffle by shuffle. Adjustment and more moving. Then I leaned my neck on him. He held my hand back. It was a beautiful moment. It was also the movement that helped me realize, maybe this wasn't all that bad. Maybe this would be the perfect thing for me. Maybe the stories were true. Maybe everything would be ok.
