"Mr. Hudskin."
I immediately raise my head to see Hunter standing in front of Mr. Mackintosh. He grins at the professor as he looks around.
"Mr. Mackintosh."
"To what do I owe this pleasure?"
Hunter's grin only grows wider as he looks around the class making eye contact with me. He gives me a genuine smile and turns back to the professor.
"I have been sent to this class. Ms. Elis said that she doesn't want me."
He fakes a pout as Mr. Mackintosh sighs in front of him causing me to giggle along with a few others. The professor waves a hand around and Hunter grins as he starts to jog up the stairs and stops right next to me.
"Can I sit here?"
He asks, already placing his bag down.
"Hmm, let me think about it."
"Oh please, what is there to think about? You should be glad that you even get to sit next to me."
I playfully rolls her eyes at him as he plops down on the chair and gives her a very charming smile, flashing his pearly whites.
"Today-"
Just as professor Mackintosh starts to speak, the door to the room suddenly opens, revealing a very pissed off Luca. Mr. Mackintosh doesn't say anything besides shaking his head. Luca starts to storm up the stairs only to see Hunter there as well, sitting next to me.
"What are you doing here?"
"I got moved."
Luca just stares at Hunter before moving his gaze to me. He just spends a few seconds staring at me before slamming down on his seat.
"Today we will be talking about a specific extract piece from Macbeth, a play by Shakespeare whom most of you should know by now."
Mr. Mackintosh hands out a paper with a short extract on it and then proceeds to start analysing it. Just as we near the end of the extract, there is a certain line that bothers one of the students or catches their attention because they choose to raise their hand for 2 whole minutes before getting chosen by the professor to speak.
"I mean how hard could it possible be to lose a child."
There are some gasps around the room but mostly everyone is quiet and doesn't really give a shit. What the fuck is wrong with this guy? The hurt of losing a child is unbearable. I suddenly feel very mad. I guess Hunter noticed this because he clasps one of my clenches fists, giving me a reassuring look.
"Ah, see I knew someone was going to comment on that. It happens everytime I teach this. Which leads me to my next task for you guys. This is a group project and will show me how well you work with others. I have already made the groups and I don't want to hear any whining."
A few groan in annoyance but as I said before, half of the class doesn't really care and are just trying to go home and sleep.
"The project is that you have to take care of a fake baby but it will have the emotions and habits of a real life kid."
Now most of the class is gasping and whining.
"But sir, how will we take care of a kid while we are in classes?"
Somebody asks.
"You will have to take it to your classes."
He says with a finality to his tone.
"Well how does this even relate to the play?"
Someone else asks.
"Well you will eventually bond with the baby and when it will be ripped away from you, you are "supposed" to feel the same as Lady Macduff."
