As soon as I exit the jet, I'm greeted by my dad exiting a white Rolls-Royce Phantom. Damn, this man just loves being the centre of attention. He always told me, "princess, it's all about how you enter a room. Fidget and avoid eye contact, nobody's going to take you seriously. Enter as if you own the damn place; keep your head held high and look straight at anybody who dares to challenge you. You're an heir. Don't ever cower or bow down to measly little fools."

I have to give it to this man, he sometimes does have better quotes than the office.

Walking up to him, he embraces me in a hug, his smell comforting me instantly and reminding me of my childhood. All the days I spent cuddled up on his lap as I dozed off with momma right beside us. God, have I missed him.

Kissing the top of my head, he pulls me back to look at me.

"Princess, you look gorgeous. How's New York been treating you? Tell me all about it, honey."

He insisted, ushering me into the luxurious car with him following suit.

As soon as we got in, he demanded the driver to take us home as he relaxed, listening intently to all I had to say. As soon as I finished, the question came as it always does.

"Has anybody been bothering you? Because you know that I can-"

Placing a hand on his, I shake my head.

"Dad, I know that you will take care of it. If there was a problem, I would deal with it first before telling you about it."

He rewards me with a small smile as he pats my head.

"I know honey but sometimes, I worry. You're all grown up and live so far away from your dad-"

"Yet I will always come back. How could I ever leave you alone, old man? Lord knows what you would do if I wasn't here to stop your psycho ass."

Looking up at the sky, I exhale a sigh before looking at him. He lightly hits the back of my head playfully before laughing.

"My psycho ass? Princess, you are crazy. Just like your mother."

He says a prayer before doing the sign of the cross.

"Jesus, that woman was terrifying."

He whispers before staring at me, his features instantly softening.

"Dad, she wasn't even that bad."

He stares at me for a moment before bursting out laughing.

"Honey, people always knew me as a ruthless killer but they knew that my wife was worse. Way worse. I would give our hostages a choice, whether to be tortured by me or her. They always chose her."

At this, I grin at him.

"I've seen you torture for evidence and it's brutal. For you to say that my lovely momma was worse, fills my chest with pride."

Laughing at me, he shakes his head.

"You and your mother are terrifying. You're worse than her-"

He gets interrupted by uncle Phoenix ripping the door open to my side.

"IS MY FAVOURITE NIECE HERE?"

He screams, checking the car and instantly grinning. His salt and pepper hair complimenting his warm, brown eyes. The crinkles near his eyes as he grins instantly makes me grin as well as I instantly scooch out of the car and into his arms.

"Uncle Phoenix, I'm your only niece."

He pulls us apart and wraps an arm around my shoulder, pulling me towards the mansion in front of us.
