Chapter 1

Sabrina walked downstairs to the kitchen in Stark Towers. She yawned as she poured herself some coffee and sat down at the table. She looked at Steve who was sat opposite her, staring into his cold cup of coffee. He seemed distant. "All good?" Sabrina asked as she took a sip of her coffee. Steve looked up, snapping out of his daze. "What?" He obviously hadn't heard her. "I was just checking in. You seem a bit out of it," Sabrina said. Steve shrugged. "They found Bucky," he said, standing up to empty his coffee into the sink. "Who's Bucky?" Sabrina asked as she took another sip. Although she was older than a few of the Avengers, Tony never let her in on most of the news. That's the way it had always been. He would tell her information that either didn't matter or that she needed to know to do something for him. Sabrina had never really cared too much; she figured that most of it was boring anyways. "My friend from the war. Best friend, actually. I thought he had died, but apparently not. They say HYDRA have him brainwashed though, so I don't think he'll even remember me," Steve said, pouring himself another cup. "I'm sure he will Steve. And if he doesn't, he'll get to know you. At least you'll have him back in your life, right?" Sabrina asked. Steve shrugged and walked out of the kitchen, leaving his cup of coffee behind. Sabrina sighed as she watched Steve walk out of the kitchen. People were always joining the Avengers, this was no different. Or so she thought.
