I didn't ask you, did I?

Chapter 10

Elizabeth's pov

I woke up. I didn't have any nightmares. I look up, and notice Dinah was staring at me. She put her phone down.

"Morning.", she said. She had her arm around me. I got out of her arm and got up. I went into the bathroom. I had to hold on. My arms may have hurt like shit, but this isn't my first time going to pain like this. What's odd is that Maddie only hit my face and choke me. Why do the rest of my body hurt?

I brush my teeth. I grab my comb and head out of my bathroom.

I went back to my bed.

"Hey, you okay?", Dinah asked me.

"I will be. I just don't know why my fucken body hurts.", I said. I turn to her. She gasp as she saw me.

"You may say that you're okay, but that bullshit. We need to get something for your face.", Dinah said.

"Dinah, I'm fine. This isn't my first time my face is fucked up." I put my hands over my mouth as soon as I realize what I said.

"What do you mean this isn't your first time you had experience this?", Dinah ask with full of curiosity.

"Never mind. Forget it.", I said. I looked down.

"Hey don't worry. Everyone has had their up and down. And from listening to you, I can tell you been through lot of shit. But I just want you to know that I am here for you. And so are the girls.", Dinah said.

"Why? Why are you caring? Why are you being nice to me? All I did was treat y'all like shit. I don't deserve to be treated this way. You don't need to be this nice to me.", I said.

"Elizabeth, sweetie look up. People who are rude and have a not so nice attitude towards other people, doesn't mean that we should treat them bad back. I know people who are like that. You're not the only one.", she said.

I just stayed quiet.

"Can I comb your hair for you?", Dinah asked me. I just shrugged.

She took the brush and started brushing my hair. She told me that she loves how long and soft my hair is. I said thanks. After she finish combing my hair I got up to change.

I put on black tights. I got a plain dark blue shirt. I put my black Nike shoes. Dinah was already ready. She said we had to go downstairs to eat breakfast. I got my phone and slowly follow her.

We enter the kitchen and everyone stared at us. I didn't feel like saying anything.

Maddie came up to me. Of course I back away quickly, and hid behind Dinah. Dinah turned and saw Maddie.

"Maddie, I honestly don't think its a great idea for you to be near Elizabeth. She still shaken up from what happen yesterday.", Dinah said as she wrap her arms around me.

"But I want to apologize. I didn't mean to hurt her." Maddie said. Dinah looked at me. I quickly nodded no.

Dinah gave me a bowl of cereal. I sat down at the counter. The girls started talking. I was on my phone. I was texting David. He said that we are all on vacation and that he will stop by to drop off my check.

Suddenly my phone rang saying its was someone trying to reach me by facetiming. I accept it. Its was Marlee Matlin. She is a deaf actress.

I was facetiming her yesterday late at night. She asked if I would like to part of the show. I accept it.

We talked. She was just basically saying that they will start filming again on January. She said that everything else will be mailed to me.

I hung up. The door bell rang. Lauren went to go get it.
