Dinah's pov
I lead Elizabeth into my bedroom.
We both sat down on my bed.
"So as you saw, I spoke with David. Nice fella but still scared of him. Anyway he told me that it takes you at least a couple years for you to trust someone. I just want to let you know that I'll be here for you and so will the other girls. But can you at least tell me what's going on? I need to know more bout you."
I waited for Elizabeth to tell me anything. But she just looked at me and looked away.
"I appreciate what you been doing. I do. But no. I am not going to just tell you. Once y'all find out, you will think of me differently. So its better for me to keep my mouth shut as always, and let you guys find out stuff about me on your own. I'm sorry."
And than she left my room. She was back to her old self. Being strong and keeping out people.
She must have went to a lot of shit for her to act like this. But what made her so cold towards other? What did she meant about us treating her differently?
Looks like I have more things to look for. And this was going to be a hard mission but I'll do anything for her to know that its totally fine to trust and to open up to people when she feeling all kind of emotions.
I let her be alone for a few minutes.
Elizabeth pov
After I left Dinah's room, I went back to my room to get all the keys to see which doors can be opened.
I got tape so that I can label it on the key and door, got my phone, and a marker.
*3 hours later*
I finally finish. My hands hurts. So far all the keys the belong to the door are about 10-15. And its was a struggle. The rest I put it in a box that a found and guess what? It has a lock and I have the key.
All the keys that matches the doors to the house, I put them on the kitchen table. I sat down. I was tired.
"Hey. Haven't seen you? What's up?" Lauren said as she sat down with Demi and Selena.
I just nodded and got the keys. I put them inside my pockets so the girls won't get them
"What are those keys?" Selena asked me
"Just keys that I manage to find and it unlocks all the doors to this house. MY house I mean " I told her
"Ohh. Well what will you be doing? I mean, you are going to be giving us the keys as well right?" Demi ask
"No. I won't. Not until I see which rooms I want to myself." I said
"Oohhh come on! All the doors are locked up except our bedrooms." Demi said
"Aww don't care. Too bad. Too sad." I said.
I got up and left upstairs. I got into my bedroom to get my house keys and my wallet. I then went to Dinah's room. I slowly knock.
"Come in" I heard her say.
"Hey, um I just wanted to let you know that I'm going out for a few hours. I'm meeting up with agent Cortes again."
"Alright. I appreciate you telling me. Do you want someone to go with you or will you go alone?"
"I will be going alone. Thanks. I'll text you if I need you." I left and left the house.
I took an Uber to meet up the Agent Cortes. We talked and I told him what I wanted to do with the place. And for my parents company I decided to keep it because I don't know where the people who works there will go to next if I sell the company. So I decided to change a few things. After I finish, I got a ride home. I never turned on my phone back. So as I walked to the gate and walked the path home, I turned on the phone. Once I step a foot inside, some the girls were waiting for me. It was Lauren, Camila, Demi, and Ally
"Its almost 9. You do know that's late?" Lauren said
"And you do know I don't care." I needed Dinah. After some long thinking, I realize I been a bit open to her, and she the only one that can help me with what I need.
"The other girls went out grocery shopping. So go sit down. We need to tell you rules" Demi said. "Maddie!! Come downstairs now!"
I head to the living room and just stood and looked around. I couldn't bear being in this room but I had no other choice because Lauren was staring at me.
Maddie came downstairs and took a seat on the couch. The girls sat down as well.
"Well?" Demi said to me
"Well what? You're the one that told us to be here. So either start talking or I'll just leave"
"Well sit down."
"Nah I'm good standing. Last time I check, didn't want to be near your sister"
"Sit-"
"Just let her. Whatever she comfortable with" Ally said to Demi
"Anyway, we decided to come up for some rules. School is going to start so that means, one of us will take you and pick you up endless you need to stay only if it about school. We will also be checking your phones to see if you guys are okay or if we find anything wrong of you too. You guys will have curfew unless we say so." Demi said as she was waving a fairy wand around
"I want no fighting between the two of you. If you need anything, just ask us. When you guys start school, we will sometimes check your homework to make sure everything is alright." Lauren said
"When you guys are out with friends, we will be checking up on you. Or you guys call us if you're okay" Camila said as she herself had a fairy wand.
"Questions?" Demi said in a British accent.
"Yeah I have a question that not on this topic" I said as the rest of the girls came in.
"What is it sweetie?" Ally said. I cringed as she called me sweetie
"There 7 of you who in charge, but who is my guardian? I know y'all are but who is it?"
All the girls looked at each other.
"Well we are all but there could be two so we decided you can choose if you liked" Ally said
"Well I only feel comfortable with one. But sorry. I would like Dinah to be my guardian" I said as I look at the pictures on the wall
"That's fine with all of us" Ally smiled
"K. I'll be in my room then. Um, Dinah, I need to talk to you whenever you're free." I turned and head up to my room.
