Part 2: The Unexpected Explanation

At Foundation Prime...

Lord Vortech sat on his throne as his henchmen brought back some of the Foundation Elements that they had acquired. Dark Batman brought back the Golden Chi from the Legends of Chima dimension as he was covered in scratches from head to toe. He shook it off and gently placed the orb in front of the ethereal being who chuckled at his accomplishment.

Dark Wyldstyle came next with the Amber fossil of a mosquito, obtained from the Jurassic World dimension. Same as Dark Batman, she was covered in scratches and mud, twigs, and leaves. She had to infiltrate the research facility as a normal guest and a scientist before escaping with it. Yet, she had to pass through some of the exhibits filled with numerous carnivorous dinosaurs along with the hybrids as well.

For Dark Gandalf, he came back with the Philosopher Stone from the Harry Potter dimension. It was the easiest task as he was cut out for the job and he obtained it without having Dumbledore to intervene in Hogwarts; which the stone was located in.

Then, Inquisitor, Sherriff, Hunter, Duchess, Cleric, and seven new figures entered the throne room as they brought more items that were part of Foundation Prime as they placed it with the rest of the items.

"Mission: Complete. Goal Status: nearly a halfway there" Hunter spoke in a monotone robotic voice as he placed the Pandorica, from the Doctor Who dimension, near the Amber fossil.

"I do not get why did I have to go to a world full of idiots" a masked Italian man in dark green clothing tossed the Enchiridion to the Foundation Elements.

"At least you didn't have to go to the world where ponies populate the planet Mr. L" Cleric said as he carefully placed six colorful gems near the Enchiridion.

"I really don't know why I had to through all that trouble to get vial of- whatever this is" a small figure, with a mask concealing his face, carrying a dual axe carefully placed a vial with the name-Chemical X- by the Philosopher Stone.

"Just be glad you didn't go to get this Foundation Element from a group of bipedal turtles dressed as ninjas" Sherriff complained as he held a canister full of a strange substance and placed it near the Burning Rose pin that was carefully placed by the Golden Chi.

"I still do not get to myself why do I have to get a cooking pot of all things as a Foundation Element" a woman in black clothes with a white cloak and white hood concealed her face with a black skull mask complained. Underneath her cloak was a white burning rose insignia that extremely resembles the pin. "I had to see literal walking plants shooting at zombies and vice versa!"

"For me I do not get why I have to get a Chinese Miracle Box in France of all places" Duchess shouted as she showed the Miracle Box before placing it with the other Foundation Elements. "I mean superheroes and butterflies... really?"

"Settle down now" Lord Vortech said as he looked at the center of the room. "Our new guest should be arriving at any moment."

Just like he said, a blue portal opened up in the center of the chamber and Loki flew out of it along with the Tesseract which was caught by Inquisitor.

"OW" he winced as he hit the floor hard. He lifted his face back up as it was covered in dirt and bruises from New York City. He set his eyes on the Tesseract before looking at Lord Vortech and the figures before him. "I've been falling for thirty minutes! And can you explain why do you have MY Tesseract?!"

"Oh good, a villain right" Lord Vortech ignored his rant and asked. "The infirmary is down the steps and to the right. Take a left and another left and the infirmary should be on the right."

"That still doesn't answer my question" Loki said as he was a bit irritated about the portal dropping him off here.

"Very well" Vortech sighed. "This is Foundation Prime, the birthplace of all dimensions and the creation of your worlds. I am its ruler, Lord Vortech and the people that are standing before you are my elites, The Foundation Lords. The reason why I needed the Tesseract is something far more amazing than you can positively think of. So for now, go to the infirmary and come back after you fully healed."
