The ego is genuinely my favorite topic of conversation. But currently, we live in a generation defined by humility. We never want to justify thinking too highly of ourselves. But let's break down the ego into compartments.

Firstly, the ego is your immediate reaction to success. It's your natural response to feeling victorious. Experiencing an accomplishment will lead you to an instant vibe whereas you'll see the best in yourself. You were literally born with this trait. It's supposed to be an active function in your body. More than anything, your ego is more of a natural function in your body, than your depression is.

Depression is an ailment. An illness. While your ego is instilled in you through solid human nature. Unlike depression, your ego doesn't aim to invalidate you.  In fact, it's most desperate to maintain as much of your validation as possible.

That being said, if you have balance in your life whereas you understand you don't have to look good in front of others, nor do you have to compare yourself to others, your ego will be a rather safe and steady, poised function. Simply there to amplify your level of self esteem in situations where it's needed.

On this note, your ego functions on a binary. There is the competitive ego, which boosts itself purely through it's interactions with it's competition. Apart from that, there is the singular ego. Built purely off of personal success. If you focus on personal success in your life and allow yourself the freedom to be relentlessly enthusiastic about your personal success, your ego is quite literally going to be your best friend.

When assessing your ego, remember these few quotes I have written.

"Be a legend in your own mind, because your own mind is where your status matters most."

"I'd be damned if I disarmed my ego before disarming my depression. At least my ego tells me that I'm worth it."

"The more you believe, the more you can achieve. So the only way to be the best version of yourself, is to believe the best about yourself."

It's time we realize this: inner success lives inside of your ego. Never destroy inner success simply because you don't want to "have a big head"

I love you guys. I love all of you and I believe in you. And honestly, I swear to God I'm not leaving this earth before seeing you guys love yourselves as much as I love you. All that said, see you again in the following chapter.
