"What do you mean when he's through with you? Do you not see how he looks at you?" You couldn't help the tears that sprung to your eyes. All of a sudden, you just really felt the need to cry."That's what everyone said last time..." You sniffled, and your friend's eyes got about 10x bigger than they normally were.
"Are you scared of Namjoon doing to you what that asshole did to you? Aweh, sweetie. You shouldn't be worried - Namjoon is the farthest thing from that guy! Namjoon is so sweet, and that guy was such a douche from the beginning."
"I can't risk it though. I really like him which scares the crap out of me. And he is so out of my league, it's only a matter of time before he gets bored. So please, you absolutely cannot say anything."
"Do you really think this is going to help you?" You nodded in response. You knew you were being irrational, but you figured if he didn't know how much you cared for him and wanted a future with him, he'd stick around a little longer.
You and your friend talked for about 10 more minutes. She listened and understood your irrational thoughts and didn't put you down for them which you appreciated (even though you and her both knew you were being absolutely insane and a tad ridiculous).
You both hugged before joining everyone else in the living room while one of your friends was making burgers for dinner. Namjoon gave you a questioning look as if to ask if you were okay, and you smiled at him and subtly nodded to reassure him.
Your friend passed you a hefty glass of red wine (which you happily accepted) and you sat down at the dining room table, lightly conversing with a few of your other friends while dinner was still being cooked.
Once dinner was served, everyone was relatively quiet as you all demolished your food. Yeah, the snacks you took on the hike held you over but now that you have sustenance in front of you, you started realizing just how hungry you actually were.
20 minutes later and all the food was completely and utterly gone, and now everyone started shifting more towards the alcohol. You topped up yours and your friend's wine glass while Namjoon and a couple of the guys grabbed a couple of beers.
You volunteered yourself to help clean, so you started working on clearing the table while everyone started to migrate outside to get a fire going.
You were minding your own business and humming to yourself when you suddenly felt a pair of hands on your waist, lifting you up and putting you on the counter. You couldn't help the startled gasp that escaped your mouth - until you saw the smiling face of the culprit.
"Namjoon, you scared me." You had your hands on your chest and he started kissing your neck.
"I'm sorry gorgeous, I didn't mean it." Namjoon whispered while gently kissing your neck.
You laughed. "Yeah, you're sounding really genuine right now. Besides, you're distracting me! I'm trying to clean." You lightly tried pushing him away even though honestly you weren't even really trying. You convinced yourself that it was a mental thing - by pushing away Namjoon, you were symbolizing yourself pushing those thoughts of how cute he was and how into him you were away. You mentally rolled your eyes at that thought however - you pushing Namjoon was nothing more than playful flirting and you both knew it.
"You've never complained about being distracted by me before though. Some part of me even seems to think that you actually like being distracted by me." He playful bit your ear and you gasped.
"Excuse me, I resent that statement." You tried looking annoyed (really, you did) but your arms seemed to have minds of their own and pulled him closer to you.
"Sure you do." He smirked as he brought his face up to look at you.
"Oh, shut up and kiss me." You said as you grabbed him by the neck and pulled him into you again.

You went to bed pretty early that night as you were absolutely exhausted (thanks Namjoon) and luckily you were able to sleep the whole night through without any uh, distractions.
Unluckily, it seemed like all your dreams were occupied by the guy who was making you both super happy, and super anxious at the same time. Frankly, you were mentally and emotionally drained even though you had slept deeply the entire night.
When you walked into the kitchen, you could hear the chatter of your friends and you could smell the fresh coffee. You were just wearing a pair of spandex shorts and a hoodie and your hair had dried naturally last night before you went to sleep, leaving it rather wavy. You grabbed yourself a mug and poured some coffee when you heard someone comment:
"Damn Y/n, you look good." You rolled your eyes - the one who made the comment was notorious for talking before thinking and often didn't have a filter. This led to him making some questionable comments from time to time, but you and the other girls were never offended. He didn't mean any harm and if he made a comment that truly made you uncomfortable, you were easily able to tell him and he would acknowledge his wrongdoings.
"Thanks," You muttered as you grabbed the milk and sugar for your coffee. Once you dressed it up how you liked, you stirred the piping hot cup and yawned. "Man, I am exhausted. Is anyone else super sore?" You asked as you took a gulp of the coffee. Your question was met with a resounding 'yes' from all of your friends.
"I hate being old. Like, I want to go do something today, but I also just want to stay here and get day drunk." One of your friend's commented while casually pouring Bailey's into his coffee.
"I'm down for a day here! I don't really have the energy to drive anywhere honestly." Your other friend who was the other driver for the group commented while stretching out her legs on the coffee table. "What about you Namjoon? You feel like driving?"
For the first time, you looked up and glanced at Namjoon. He was wearing grey sweatpants and a black t-shirt that showed off his arms and chest (has he been working out recently?) and he was wearing his black thick rimmed glasses. He was looking so, so fine but you were confused about why he looked so angry. He had a deep frown set in his eyebrows, and he was poking his tongue into his cheek.
In your personal and completely unbiased opinion, Kim Namjoon has never looked hotter than he did at that moment.
It was so attractive that you were almost ready to risk it all for him and just sit on his lap and kiss him so hard and confess to him every feeling you have harboured away for him - ever.
However, his gruff voice snapped you out of your delusional thoughts immediately.
"No, I don't really feel like driving either." He looked up at you (caught you staring is more like it) but instead of his charming smile he always gave to you, he just arched his eyebrow and drank from his coffee.
Your heart accelerated in your chest as all you could think of was 'this is it, this is where he tells me he's bored of me.'
You had kind of expected this to happen, but you guys have only been doing this for one full day and a bit? Were you really that awful that he couldn't tolerate any more of you?
You immediately looked down at the coffee in your cup, thinking that if you couldn't see Namjoon, then he'd just magically forget your presence because obviously he was annoyed about something to do with you. And you were extremely worried and intimidated.
Your other friend who drove clapped her hands and exclaimed: "I guess that settles it! We're staying here today!"
Everyone was chatting about what they were going to get up to, and you silently snuck back to the coffee maker. If you were planning on avoiding Namjoon (to avoid crushing rejection), you needed to be fully caffeinated.
"Hey," you heard a familiar voice whisper in your ear. Well shit, maybe you're not so good at hiding as you thought.
"Oh, hey Namjoon. What's up?" Your heart was pounding and you weren't sure if it was because of Namjoon's presence or what you knew was inevitably coming.
He grabbed the sleeve on your hoodie and pulled you away.
"We need to talk."
Well, shit.
