Untamed Deaths (short story (kind of???))

9: Their oath

Wei Ying only had enough time to raise one hand and wrap it around to Lan Zhan's back, as if that could be enough to stop what was now inevitable.

There was no time to use either his Golden Core or Demonic Cultivation.

There was no time to push his husband to safety.

There was no time to switch places with him.

So all he could do was ...................

Watch as Lan QiRen plunged his sword .........

Through his hand..........

Deep into and through Lan Zhan ...............

And deep into his own chest.

The pain exploded in his hand and chest but it seemed to dull instantly as his mind accepted that he and Lan Zhan would die here.

In each others arms.

They were now pinned together with a blade binding them together forever.

Strangely enough, he felt his demonic cultivation doing something, is if ...... giving him a final moment with his beloved Lan Zhan.

'I pray we are always staying this close my love.' Lan Zhan whispered when he knew there was no escaping his uncles' attack. He would die in the arms of the man he would willingly die to protect and live a thousand lives to love.

'I will never allow you pair of cut sleeves to destroy the reputation of this sect.' QiRen said with disgust rolling off him in waves.

However, neither Lan Zhan or Wei Ying were listening to his spiteful ramblings any more.

They fell to their sides, on the bed, arms still around their love; face still buried in their loves neck.

They gave heed to nothing and no one.

This was their moment alone.

They were wrapped in their own private little world and no one could interrupt.

'I found you .... My love.'

'Wei Zhan .... Remember ... this love .... Is for .... Eternity .... Our oath continues .... Forever.' He felt a loving kiss placed on his neck just before his husband died in his arms and his arms slid down and he became dead weight against him ...

The sword twisted a little at the extra weight causing Wei Ying to grit his teeth to stop from screaming out in pain.

Only then did Wei Ying open his eyes just in time to see XiChen flying into the cave in a fury ...

Jaing Cheng beside him ...

Both screaming at QiRen.
