M I E S H Y M A Y
I heard the noise of a car outside of my house. I put my phone on the table, my messages with Coolie is still open. I know that he is already here.
Tumingin ako sa salamin sa gilid ng bedside table ko, I saw how wet my cheeks are because of my tears. I wipe it off using the back of my palm.
"Ate! Nasa baba si Kuya Luis! Hinahanap ka!" I heard three knocks on my door after hearing that. I'm sure it was one of my siblings.
"Susunod na ko." Ang tanging naisagot ko rito. Tumigil naman ang pag katok nito sa pinto.
I pick up my wallet and phone and put it on my pocket before leaving my room. Pagkababang-pagkababa ko ay sumalubong agad sa akin si April, ang nakakabatang kapatid ko.
"Ate!" Malakas na tawag nito sa akin. She pointed out her fingers to the left side, sinundan ko naman iyon ng tingin.
And I saw him...
With my mother, they are laughing, mukhang hindi nawala ang closeness nila kahit ngayon lang ulit sila nagkita pagkatapos naming maghiwalay.
"Ate you have a guest!" Masiglang saad ng batang hawak ko.
And that makes them turn their head towards my direction.Luis smiled at me but I can't make myself smile back at him.
"Iho ibalik mo nang maayos ang anak ko rito sa bahay ha." My mom said while tapping his shoulder.
Lumingon naman ito kay Mama at magalang na inabot ang kamay para mag mano rito.
We are on a legal relationship when we're still together, my parents know him so much and he can even attend my family reunions because they like him. He even met my father. When I'm with relationship with Luis my father was still alive that time, and he was so close with him, na para bang sila ang mag-ama.
I am sure that he knows already that my father was already dead. How could he know back then? Hindi nga ako nagkaroon ng chance na magsabi sa kanya na nasasaktan ako. How could I told him that night? He broke up with me on the same day my father die.
My mom was the first person who discovered about our break-up but she didn't know what exactly the reason why we broke up. Dahil kahit ako nga mismo ay hindi ko alam kaya paano ko masasabi sa kanya ang dahilan?
"Una na kami Ma." Pagpapaalam ko kay Mama at nauna nang maglakad palabas sa pinto ng bahay.
"Tita mauna na po kami, ihahatid ko po si Mieshy mamaya." Ang huling narinig ko na sinabi niya kay Mama bago ako tuluyang makalabas ng bahay.
