it was around 12:37 when bennett received the strange message from the wolfy fellow. he was drifting off to sleep, quite peacefully, until he was startled by the soft buzz of his phone by the nightstand.

"sheesh, how'd they get such a cool username?" bennett said out loud with a scowl, squinting as the bright screen lit up the room. seems cryptic, the snow blonde thought, i guess i'll talk to this person. worst case scenario i'll block them.

needless to say, he was in shock when the mysterious wolfy fellow had informed him that he was friends with his best friend, and rising star barbara gunnhildr. he was incredibly lucky that happened, he was half afraid that 'wolfy' would be some sort of online predator. he sighed in relief, overjoyed that he'd made a new friend, a friend of a friend! and he learned that friend was named razor, a boy his age who seemed so close yet so far away, who seemed so distant when he texted.

bennett knew he had to befriend this boy. he just had a feeling it'd be the start of something wonderful. they spoke so freely in those twenty minutes before bennett's eyelids had gotten heavy, and decided to turn in. he just wished razor had messaged him a little earlier in the night. he must be a night owl, bennett concluded. he told the other, on the other side of the phone to rest.

it was like he'd known razor already.

because though everyone practically begged razor to rest, and no matter how much he longed to sleep, he couldn't. it was impossible to sleep.
