I Hate That I Love You~ Regulus Black

For the past week Regulus had been pranked everyday so far. Sunday he woke up to red and gold hair. Monday he had been woken up by a mermaid. In the middle of the black lake. Tuesday at lunch time his food exploded all over him and he had missed potions to clean the mashed potatoes out of his hair. Wednesday his bed was covered in glitter. This time he didn't bother trying to take it out because he knew most of it would stay anyways. Thursday someone put dye in his body wash because he came out the shower with hot pink skin that stained. Today is Friday and his has been safe so far.

Regulus and his hot pink body were sitting out by the black lake after classes. He was working on the potions assignment he had from Tuesday. He opened his textbook to look at the ingredients of a potion. He's focused until he hears a laugh coming from the tree he is sitting under. He looks up to James Potter and Peter Pettigrew in the tree.

"Don't touch my sister black!" And then a bucket of red paint falls on top of him and his work. Regulus doesn't move out the way. Instead he sits there in shock. Peter and James high five and jump down from the tree. Regulus wiped the paint from his eyes and opened them up to see them running away. He now knew who was doing this to him all week. And quite frankly he believed he deserved it.

He cast a spell cleaning off his assignments but if he tried it on himself it was bound to stain even more than the pink dye already on him. Regulus stood up and started walking into the castle when he heard a familiar laugh. He saw sapphire sitting with Lily Evans and Marlene McKinnon. He knew they were laughing at him so he just kept walking.

Getting paint out of his hair was more difficult than expected he had taken over a two hour shower removing the paint from his hair and body. He threw out his robes not even trying to clean that up.

Sapphire sat in the common room staring at the fire. She remembers that tomorrow is Saturday and that means hogsmeade with Marlene. She hopes James doesn't do anything funny. She then remembers the date Regulus had ruined. Gideon Prewett. Just last year. They were in the three broomsticks about to drink some butterbeer.

Regulus and his friends had all walked in. Sapphire had went to the bathroom and Gideon was ordering food. They should have known better to leave their drinks unattended but they did. When they went to go drink it Sapphires exploded all over her. Gideon's however was fine. Until his hands started growing. She heard laughs and saw the group of slytherin boys she despised.

Third year she had her first kiss with Amos Diggory. A hufflepuff who is now in his seventh year. He hadn't done anything terrible. Just after it happened he blew up Amos so he started floating away.

Regulus walked up the stairs from the boys dorms and say a silhouette sitting in front of the fire on the emerald green leather couch. He soon recognized it to be Sapphire. He walked and sat next her. She didn't move away. But she didn't say anything either.

They sat there in silence no one even looked at eachother. No one moved all night.

James and Peter sat in the dorm laughing about what happened today. Peter was laughing so hard he fell off the bed causing them to laugh more. James was out of breath from laughing. Sirius walked in and saw them laughing. He was so confused. "I JUST PEED MY PANTS" James screamed. Peter fell off the the bed again. Sirius decided to come back another time.

Sirius walked into the common room and saw Remus sitting on the couch working on homework. Sirius walked up to him and sat down practically on top of him. Remus felt his heat speed up. He hoped Sirius couldn't feel it.

What Remus didn't know was that Sirius was also nervous. He didn't know how to deal with those feelings. He ran away from his family but they still felt like they were suffocating him. Like he still couldn't be himself. He loved the potters and he knows just who he can open up too.

"Hey moony do you have the map?" Remus nodded and pulled it out of his pocket. He handed it to Sirius and their hands brushed. Remus felt his cheeks heat up but tried he best to hold it down. Sirius put his head down to let the hair fall in front of his face. He opened the map and saw Sapphires name in the slytherin common room. But he also saw a familiar one next to her. Regulus Black. Why is he near her again?

"Why did you do it?" She said softly. Regulus heard nothing but a mumbled. She could tell he hadn't heard her. "Why did you do it?" Regulus knew what she was talking about. He knew why he did it. He was jealous. But he was to prideful to admit.

"I don't know." She scoffed. "How do you not know?" Regulus felt himself get more agitated at this. She was right of course but he would also never admit that.

"I just don't!" His voice raised a little. "Don't raise your voice at me! I'm done with you." She stands  up and stormed up the stairs. Regulus sits in silence contemplating this all in his head. He loves her. He hates it. It hurts him.
