I Hate That I Love You~ Regulus Black

I leave the bathroom after changing into my robes. I look in a compartment and see Emeline Vance and Regulus making out. Gross. I am a prefect this year as well as him so we need to head to the meeting. I roll my eyes and open the door. Emeline gives me an annoyed look.

" Come on Regulus we have the prefect meeting" he stands up and brushes his robes wrinkles out. " Well come on. We don't have all day" I leave. I walk down the corridors and i hear him running to catch up. Of course he does since his legs are so much longer than me. Regulus and I never got along ever since he stole my crayons in astronomy back in first year. Yes, I know it sounds dumb but he's also done other things we could add to the list. " Sooo " he breaks the silence. "Shut up." I glare at him. " We are not friends therefore you don't speak to me unless I speak to you first" I hate Regulus Black. I walk ahead of him and we reach the the prefects compartment.

"Glad you guys made it." a ravenclaw boy in 7th year says. I assume hes the head boy. Hes kinda cute. I walk in and take a seat next to Remus and Lily Evans. I zone out and stare at the window. The train suddenly stops. All the prefects look confused. " Whats happening?" Lily Evans asks. A Black hand wraps around the door. A dementor. It stand in front of the ravenclaw boy and his face starts to get deformed. Like he is withering away.  " Expecto Patronum!" I say and point my wand at the creatures. A snow leopard comes out the tip of my wand. The Dementor flies back. The train starts moving again. " Woah Saph that amazing" Remus says to me. I blush a little.

It's safe to say I have a small crush on Remus Lupin. It started this summer when he came over and would read books with me at night in my room. I can't act on it though since he is my brothers best friend. After about 10 more minutes pass the meetings over. I walk with Remus back to the compartment. It was silent but a nice silence. We reach the compartment and I open the door.

" I hate Black. Not you Sirius" I say with a hint of annoyance in my voice.

" We'll be at the school soon. Sit down Saph" Remus says. I take a seat next to him. He gives me a smile and I blush some more. I start to drift off to sleep. I rest my head on Remus's shoulder and shut my eyes.

I feel shaking. I open my eyes and see Remus looking at me with a soft smile on his face. " Wake up. We are home" he stands up and holds a hand out. I take it. James , Sirius, and Peter are no where in sight. They must be in the castle already.

LUPIN POV

I find the rest of the marauders at the Gryfindor table. I sit down next to Sirius. I look over at Slytherin to make sure Sapphire settled in well.

" Sooo... whats going on with you and Sapphire?" Sirius says. Peter looks at me a glint of sadness in his eyes. I lie to make him feel better. " She's like a little sister to me. I don't like her" Sirius can see through my lie but Peter and James believe me. " Well you better tell her that soon. She obviously likes you" Peter says sadly. I feel bad for him. James changes the subject to quidditch. Thankfully I can't take the talk about Sapphire anymore.

I pile on some food and eat. I look back over at Slytherin and see Regulus. He's walking over to Saph. Oh no, this cant be good.

" ummm guys why is Regulus walking towards Saph?" I say. They all look up.

" Hello my lovely Sapphire!" He says loudly. The whole great hall stares.
" If you don't leave in 5 seconds I will curse you."
" well. "
"5..."
" My dearest friend Lucius "
4..."
" Malfoy wants to take you on a date" he quickly comes out with.
" HUH"
