TW: Mentions of Abuse! (Flashbacks to Grimwauld place.)

Regulus cried. He hadn't cried since the night Sirius left. All of his built up emotions poured out. Sitting on the ledge of the astronomy tower he looked over the water. A full moon. He saw a person walking across the yard. He squints you make out the body when he sees another follow. Severus Snape and Evan Rosier. Regulus thinks about how quickly Evan had replaced him. Leaving the astronomy tower he left whatever they were up to alone.

Walking in the corridor past curfew was a happy Sapphire. Despite what was going on with her and Regulus she just got a letter from her parents about her birthday party. She walked through the corridor with a little bounce in her walk. That's until she heard footsteps. Slowly walking towards a wall she peeked around the corner to see who it was. The moon illuminated the face of the person. Her mood immediately falls. Regulus Black.

Feeling bold she steps out from behind the corner. Regulus sees the girl and immediately stops in his tracks. He feels a tug at his heart. Regulus Black hated her. Not because she's a bad person or because she's what he can't be. He hates her because the way she makes him feel.

She doesn't know that every time she laughs a smile creeps onto his lips. Or that he noticed how when she didn't understand something in astronomy she went straight to his brother. Which hurt him even more. What made Sirius so much better than him?

"SIRIUS ORION BLACK!" Warburga shouts from inside the living room. Regulus sat in the corner of his brothers room watching him throw his stuff in a rectangular Gryffindor luggage case. Bruises were littered down Sirius arm. A large cut the went down his stomach was bleeding through his shirt.

"Please. Don't go. I need you." Regulus whispered from the corner. Sirius heard his voice and looked down at his brother. He saw tears brimming around his eyes. "You can come too. But I'm not staying."

Regulus couldn't leave. He didn't fit in with his brothers friends. The blacks needed a heir and he would have to be that. Blinded by sadness and anger he made the wrong choice. "Goodbye brother." He stood up and wrapped his arms around Sirius's torso.

"You okay?" She asked in that gentle voice that made his heart melt. He hated that she could be two different people with him. He wanted to be around her soft, happy, and fierce side all the time.

"Yeah. I am." He says shakily and wipes a few tears that got loose from his cheeks. Sapphire opens her mouth to talk but he keeps walking leaving a confused girl.

"Come on Snape. You really think Lupin is a werewolf?" Evan Rosier questions. Snape lets out scoff. He hated being doubted. Especially when he knew he was right. "Yes Rosier. I'm sure." Snape replies in his cold and distant voice.

Approaching the whopping willow Evan grows more nervous. Snape performs a spell Immobilizing the tree. He nods for Evan to follow him in. Reluctantly he does.

Heading down the stairs of the whomping willow the boys hear a shrieks and then a voice say "It's ok moony." Snape smirks to himself. Evan feels the pit in his stomach grow. As much as he despises Lupin he did not want to face a werewolf.

"What's that?" The voice of James Potter says.
