Morro suppressed a loud growl as he wandered aimlessly through the many halls of the Jade Creek Resort, one of the most luxurious hotels in all of Ninjago City. He had been invited by Mr. Dobson along to an investment seminar being hosted at the hotel. He didn't want to come to this thing, he would much rather hang out with the pack back home, but Mr. Dobson hadn't given him a choice. He hadn't told his friends where he was going today.
If they found out he was at the stuck-up, formal event they would probably make fun of him.
Well, Kai and Skylor definitely would if they found out about any of this, if not for the seminar then for the ridiculous outfit he was currently wearing. He was forced to wear a plain black shirt and buttoned it up fully to support the graceful dark green bow tie he was wearing. On top of the shirt, he was wearing a sleek vest with four buttons. It had a narrow v-line, which allowed for the top to remain visible even when the suit's jacket was buttoned up.
The black jacket was a near-perfect fit.
The six buttons of his double-breasted jacket were all buttoned up with the exception of one, a subtle touch of nonchalance that worked perfectly. The jacket was longer at the back, it had vents on either side, there was a single pocket on one side and there was a breast pocket that contained a stylish pocket square. He was wearing black pants and they made an ideal combination with his shoes. He was also wearing a classy pair of plain-toe bluchers.
To top it all off he was wearing a graceful belt, which was accompanied by gloves.
He sighed as he passed a few snobs making their way to the dining hall.
"Morro? Is that you?" Someone suddenly said and Morro turned around to see Harumi walking over to him, wearing a formal outfit like everyone else. The light green dress covered her shoulders almost fully and flowed down into an elegant scoop neckline. It was a snug fit that was meant to draw attention to her breasts but in a graceful and elegant manner. Her arms had been left uncovered. The dress's waist was narrow, but it was a loose fit. A large black belt helped accentuate her waist in a stylish manner.
Below the waist, the dress widened and had multiple diagonal layers from top to bottom.
The dress reached all the way down to her knees and was slightly longer at the sides. She was wearing black high heels and to top it all off she was wearing several gilded bracelets.
"What are you doing here?"
"What are YOU doing here?" He asked and instantly regretted it, realizing that was a stupid question. Harumi and her family probably organized this pristine, boring event.
"I asked first." She glared.
"Are you ten or something?" He scoffed but to his surprise, instead of biting his head off, she simply took a deep breath and gave him a very bored expression.
"I'm helping Mother with her investment seminar, she's one of the speakers." She replied with a small glared. "She begged me to come along and play the dutiful daughter as always, it's totally boring."
"You're right there." Morro chuckled lightly and an uncomfortable silence grew between them. They stood there for almost a full minute until Harumi was about to say something when Morro saw his foster dad waving him over. "Well, it's been riveting." He told the lead cheerleader and all but ran to where Mr. Dobson was waiting for him...
****************
Morro groaned as another pang of hunger rippled through his body, forcing his legs to continue walking. Everyone had moved to the hotel's restaurant for a whole banquet. It was full of many fancy-looking and named dishes that made Morro's mouth water. Unfortunately, Mr. Dobson had failed to book them at a table so now they couldn't eat at the hotel. Mr. Dobson told the teen that he had some food in the car and he left the lone wolf alone in the halls.
