Beautiful, kind Mipha. I knew her since I was a child. She had watched me with amusement as I ran all over Zora's Domain, recklessly getting hurt in every doing. She'd heal me, laughing as I watched her magic with astonishment. Then I'd stare up at her with wide eyes and she'd hold my face in her hands. Those blue eyes will be my downfall. She had told me, smiling. She'd laugh again, her laugh like silver bells ringing in the rain. After that day, it would be years until I saw her again.
This time...it was different. I had grown older, retrieved the Master Sword from the Lost Woods, and had been appointed as Zelda's knight. With so many eyes upon me...I could only stay silent and carry the burden with honor. Mipha seemed to notice this and asked if I was alright. I nodded and mustered a smile. I'm not sure she bought it. She was already bewildered: I had gone from being a young child she looked after to being an older boy she was friends with. An older friend rather than an adorable kid. At least, I hope so. My relationship with Mipha was confusing. Since that visit, she started to seem flustered around me. I wasn't sure if she was scared of me, maybe even a little bit intimidated. Or perhaps something else. I'll never know.
I wish she were still here. I would tell her that she was an amazing friend to me. I would tell her about what I've been through, all that I've seen. Maybe she could explain to me as well. Since meeting her father, King Dorephan, and her brother, Prince Sidon, I've had many questions I longed to ask her. The armor, her feelings for me...what did it mean??
Oh, Mipha. I miss you.
