My Chilhood Stalker

Chapter 2: Disturbance

Chad's POV
      I started packing my things up because I will be moving to a dorm for college. My university is far away from here. I'm excited but sad also because I'm going to miss my parents. I'm not affectionate to them but God knows how I truly love them.

I will bring some precious things that I kept for years; the 1st wood robot that my Pops made for me, the beanie my Mom knitted, and Eugene's farewell gift.

.. Flashback..

It's my last year in elementary when Eugene started to act weird towards me. After that confrontation, she never annoys me again about that boyfriend thing and we still became playmates because we're neighbors and her room's window was parallel to my room's window so sometimes we talk about games and stuffs through our windows using cans that is connected by a thread. But this time, I don't know what she's up to. She becomes shy and she doesn't talks much to me. And the weirdest thing is.. I always caught her looking at me then looks away when I caught her. I don't like it when she's like that. It's like she's a complete stranger. We go home together so now, I will ask her why.

" Yah! Why are you acting weird these days? Is there something that you wanted to tell me??"

"Is it true?"

" Huh?!"

"Is it true that you have a crush with Hanna??" What? How did she know that?

"Hanna? You mean your sitmate? Ofcourse not. I don't have a crush to anyone."

" You're lying! Dondon said you have a crush on her. Why didn't you tell me? I thought we we're bestfriends."

"Oh! I'm sorry. It's just that I'm shy to tell you that. I mean you're her sitmate so I.. "

"So it's true then.. " She said while bowing her head. Then she suddenly run and I tried to follow her but she's so fast I couldn't keep my distance until she disappeared.

Since then, she never talk to me. She goes to school early and go home without waiting for me. I'm always saying sorry but she just nod.

It's 2am in the morning when I suddenly woke up from sleeping and to my surprise, Eugene was on the other side of the window watching me sleep. She didn't noticed that I'm awake because she's crying. I'm confused. Why is she acting like that? I mean, I'm worried. Is she starting to be obssesed again? Oh no. She watched me until 3am then she turned her lights off.

It's morning. I am surprise to see her waiting for me. I missed being with her but I keep thinking about earlier. It's really disturbing.

"So you're not upset anymore??"

"Yeah" She said that with a smile. I don't know how to continue our conversation. She seems different but I still try.

"Okay! What about you? Do you have a crush too??"

"Yeah" 

"Really?? Who is it?"

"Don't worry. It's not you." She replied coldly.

"Yah! Why are you acting that way? It's awkward. I hate it" I'm starting to get irritated.

"You always hate me. What's new?"

"What?"

"Nothing. I mean, we're bestfriends."

"And??" I'm puzzled.

"That's why I am acting this way. I just want you to feel that I am sad and I need you by myside."

"But why are you sad?" Now I'm starting to get worried. I think she has a crush on me again. I only see her as my bestfriend. What am I going to do?

"Well that's my secret. I don't want to share my pain. I just wanted you to be by my side always."

Oh no! First, she watched me in my sleep and then now, she's starting to own me again like back when we were little. It's disturbing. I don't want to hate her again. I care for her. I love her like she's my own sister. I can't give her what she wanted. I have to do something. If I stay by her side, she might misunderstood my actions. I will avoid her as far as I can. She will get over it soon then we can the best of friends again after her feelings fade away..
