Your eyes flashed open, the pure white room surrounding you. You let out a shout as you felt something on your back, a pair of hands.

You looked behind you and saw Wilbur, smiling at you.

"Wilbur." You said.

He smiled at you, and made sure you were upright. He stepped back and frowned at your wound, looking at his.

"Why did you go and get matching wounds." He said, looking back at you.

You stared at him and laughed. "Well, I didn't mean too."

He looked at you.

"All I remember is that I crashed my car."

He raised his hand and flicked your forehead, you wincing.

"Please," A voice spoke, gaining both yours and Wilbur's attention. "I would like to spoke with (y/n) alone."

Wilbur nodded and bowed, fading away from sight. You watched him fade away in panic.

"Don't fret my child, as you are safe."

"Where the hell am I?" You asked, looking around to try and find the voice.

"Dude, I just said to not fret. Anyway, you are in what I like to call, the Inbetween. This is a place where one of my good friends travels sometimes. But, it is also a place that can hold half alive souls until either they pass, or go back." It explained. "You are one of those half alive souls."

You closed your eyes and looked down. "I don't want to die."

"Well, you did crash your car."

You scowled. "I was blinded by my tears."

"It was your fault for thinking the wrong thing."

You opened your eyes and looked up in confusion. "what?"

"You heard me right. Although, it was probably Tommy's fault for jinxing it. But, that's besides the point."  The voice seemed to sigh. "You wouldn't stop and listen, therefore, you crashed your car. Its funny how cause and effect works."

"Are you God?" You asked.

"Well, it really depends on which culture you're in. I could be God, I could be Zeus. I could be Buddha, I could be nobody." I said. "I really have no name, but all of them at the same time."

You narrowed your eyes. "I want to go back home."

"I'll let you, but you have to say that you're sorry. Also, make sure that your brother Techno, and your father Philza, doesn't kill Mark." It said. "I really like that guy."

"How do I go?"

"Like this."

You felt a force push you, and you were forced to close your eyes.

You heard loud ringing, then voices that slowly grew louder.

"-have stopped them! You should have fucking stopped them!" You heard, Techno's voice.

"Techno, let him go." Tubbo's voice.

"No! He nearly made my younger sibling fucking die!"

"Look, I'm sorry about that okay!? I should have never said those things, and I regret everything that happened before then!" Your finger twitched when you heard his voice. Marks voice.

"They moved!" Philza's voice!

You couldn't open your eyes, causing you to panic.

"Calm down (y/n)! You're safe. You are in a hospital." Tommy said.

You moved your head, trying to signal that you wanted the thing on your eyes off.

You heard shuffling, then a grunt.

"I'm not letting you near them."

"Techno, please!"

You opened your mouth and closed it, glad there was nothing covering that.

"m-mark."

Everything went silent.

"Fine."

More shuffles of clothes, then a hand on your left arm.

You moved your head again, then a relief of darkness. You slowly opened your eyes, the first you focused on was Mark.

You smiled when you saw him, faintly remembering what that thing said when you were gone.

He was crying, little wisps of steam coming from his cheeks as the tears hit them.

"don't cry." You whispered. "please."

Mark nodded, but held your hand in his.

Techno, Tubbo, Tommy, and your Dad stood in places around your bed, no one near Mark.

You shifted in your bed, a sharp stab of pain coming through your abdomen.

"Ah!" You hissed, Mark helping you move back into your original spot.

"You haven't healed yet." Mark said.

Techno narrowed his eyes at Mark, growling.

"Techno." You said, causing him to stop.

He grunted and looked away, leaving the room after. Tommy followed after him, Tubbo following him.

All that was left in the room was you, Mark, and Phil.

"Dad." You said. Phil looked up and glanced at you. "Can you leave?"

He stood up and glared at Mark, leaving the room.

"I'm sorry." You said. "I should have listened to you."

Mark's eyes widened. "Yeah, you should've."

"Hey! You're supposed to disagree!"

"How am I supposed to fight the facts?" Mark asked.

You chuckled, hissing as it hurt your abdomen.

"Are you okay?" Mark panicked, gently putting a hand on your stomach.

You placed your other hand on his. "Yeah, Mark, I'm okay."

He visibly relaxed, and sunk down onto the seat beside your bed.

"How long was I out?" You asked.

"About three days, just enough time for Techno, Phil, and Tommy to come over here and almost kill me for doing this to you." He looked away. "You were pronounced dead for 10 minutes, then you came back."

You thought back to the encounter that you barely remembered. You remembered the place that the Being called it.

"I must've been in the Inbetween." You suddenly said.

Mark went silent, then started to stand up.

"I need to call somebody."

Your eyes widened, the feeling of panic of him leaving you set in.

"No!" You shouted. "Please don't go."

You tightened your grip on Mark's hand, him looking into your sad and pleading eyes.

"Okay, I can call them later."

He sat back down and smiled at you, you returning it.

"Thank you." You closed your eyes, the last thing you saw before darkness was Mark getting comfortable on his seat.

Y'all, I need to get this essay DONE. So, I hope you enjoyed!
