Y/N was never fond of parties but she had to go to this one. Besides, it was Libby's birthday-her bff- so telling her "No" would totally piss her off.
Then, she decided to search for some party clothes in the wardrobe. She made her room a mess by throwing away the clothes she didn't like. As a result, the closest was empty. Now, she must put the clothes back in the closet and that was the hardest thing to do. But while she was picking up a few clothes, she found a little black dress and a pair of shoes and wore them. She looked stunning in these so she chose this outfit.
She went to the bathroom to add some mascara and a few brushes of light pink blush. She finished her look by applying dark red lipstick, took her clutch which had some money, her ID, a backup lipstick in a lighter shade of red and her phone.
She locked the door and took a deep breath. "What can go wrong? It's just a stupid party" she sighed and headed to the place where Libby arranged to meet her friends to celebrate her 25th birthday.
After lots of walking, she arrived to a noisy pub and entered into the small building. When she saw her friends, she rushed to the bar and greeted her besties.
"Y/N! It's a pleasure seeing you here! I thought you wouldn't make it, but you did" Libby exclaimed.
"Well... Tonight I decided to be let loose" she said.
"Ok ladies! Now it's time to party!" Libby interrupted us. "I heard that Arctic Monkeys are performing here, so there's no way we will have a bad time" Libby added.
Your POV
We screamed from joy and rushed to the dancefloor. Suddenly the lounge music played from the speakers stopped. I turned my head and saw Alex coming closer to the mic singing Dancing Shoes. I'm not a huge fan of them but Libby has a huge crush on Alex Turner. I tend to believe that she chose this particular pub to celebrate her birthday in order to increase the odds of spending the night with him. But I don't think that a man like him would ever look at her. I don't mean to imply that Libby is ugly, I just think that she won't have any chance with him.You can't tell, the performance was really good. The songs they played were really amusing and upbeat that they made me get up and dance. I started shaking my body with my eyes closed first, because I'm afraid of being ridiculed but that fear was suddenly gone. I opened my eyes and saw that everyone was too busy dancing.
Apart from Dancing Shoes, they played some other songs such as The View From The Afternoon, I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor and other upbeat melodies. They even played the melancholic Cornerstone and a rendition of "Happy Birthday" for Libby. That was weird because they didn't know her, yet it was a kind move. What am I saying? Libby knows the bartender and probably told them to sing the song.
I went to the bar and ordered a glass of margherita with watermelon. The bartender nodded at me and went to the top shelf to grab the ingredients, in order to fulfill my desire for alcohol. In no time, I was served my drink and started sipping it. It was quite fruity and decided to indulge myself in it. I don't know where my friends are. They might shag strangers in the bathroom but I'm too busy to look for them.
Suddenly I felt a pat on my shoulder. I am a bit scared but I drank a huge sip of alcohol to de-stress myself and turned to see the person who jabbed me.
