"Happy birthday!" I heard a masculine voice and turned my back. Suddenly I realised that Alex Turner patted my shoulder. If I could, I'd scream hysterically. But I didn't, deciding it would be better to hide my excitement. He opened his arms and embraced me. Goodness! That felt weird but I hugged him back because it would be considered rude to decline his embrace.
"Sorry, but I'm not the birthday girl. You must be looking for Libby" I whispered to his ear, since the music was too loud that muffled any word you said. Then, he let me go from his shoulders as a sign of disappointment. To be honest, he looked really anxious. As if he did something wrong.
"Don't worry. I can find Libby for you. I'm Y/N, Libby's friend" I said.
"I guess Libby can wait a little, can't she? By the way, I'm Alex. Sorry for confusing you with your friend" he said anxiously.
"It's okay. This place is so dark and these colourful lights make it even worse" I replied.
For an odd reason, Alex had his sights on my drink and that made me doubt about his sanity. But I calmed myself down thinking that he was exhausted from singing and all he wanted to do is to drink something.
"Wait. Is that a margherita?" he asked.
"Yeah... What's wrong with that?" I replied.
Suddenly he grabbed my drink and within five seconds, my glass was empty. I was really surprised by his behaviour. Everybody deemed him as gentleman however what I witnessed was far from the public's opinion. He was really handsome though.

"So Y/N, what are doing here all alone?" Alex said clinging to me.
"Actually, I'm not alone. I've come here with some friends..." I answered while scanning the room. "Well, they've probably ditched me for a douchebag they just met"
Alex searched his trousers' pockets quickly and found a ten-pound note. Then, he gave it to me.
"That's for the drink I took from you before" he whispered to me, giving me shivers.
"You shouldn't have! Anyways, thanks for the tenner... Turner" I said whimsically.
We both chuckled for a long time till our ribs got tough. I know, that was a silly joke but I was glad by the fact that he loved it. After that, Alex dragged me to the dancefloor, even though I didn't want to. However I felt comfortable rolling with him so I didn't really mind. Then, I felt his hand pulling me closer. We got so close that we could feel each other's breath. He smelled like cigarettes and margheritas, which I found quite cool. Fluorescent Adolescent was playing on the speakers.

"For your information, whatever people say I am, that's what I'm not" he whispered.
"What do you mean? If you're talking about the 'margherita incident', there are no hard feelings" I replied.
So distracted was I that I hadn't realised that Alex had already laid his lips on mine. We were kissing. For real. I tried to keep up with him, yet I was slipping away. Soon, I found out how I should do it and to be honest, this kiss was one of the best things ever. I wrapped my hands around his neck and my fingers ran through his black hair. He did the same with my chestnut-brown hair. The pub was luminous and it felt like I was in heaven. I moaned into his mouth as his tongue was dominating over mine and I had a hard time rolling his. Then, I felt his hand sliding down my arse. Well, that gave me chills.
Suddenly, our beautiful moment had to end because my phone started vibrating. I left his lips only to find out that Libby sent me a bunch of messages.
"It seems I have to go" I sighed sadly.
Alex didn't say anything. He gave me a piece of paper with his phone number on. I took it and put it in my bag.
"Don't mind. I'll see you around" he said pointing at me.

"I hope so" I replied and walked out of the pub to find my friends. I checked my phone and it was three in the morning. I called Libby but she didn't pick up. So, I decided to walk the distance between the pub and the block of flats where I live in.
"What a night..." I sighed to myself as I was walking away.
