Walking in the classroom, the homeroom teacher, Fukuda-sensei stood at the front of the room, her eyes wandered over the class. There was a certain seat, at the back of the class, empty, no bag on, or next to the seat.

Her being the homeroom teacher, she knew very well who sat there.

"Is Sato-san not present today?" she ask her students. They all turn their eyes over to the empty desk among them and some of them nodded.

A girl not too far from where Arata sat heard a scoff. "Good, she was a loner anyway," a girl said quietly, it was definitely not audible for the teacher but Arata heard it clearly.

His lapis lazuli eyes then wandered over to the girl who was sat in front of him. Staring at the back of her head, just wishing she would look at him like he looks at her.

Fukuda-sensei's phone rang on her desk, looking over to see that the headmaster was calling. She pick up the call and listened to what he had to say quietly.

"What?" Fukuda-sensei ask. "Are you sure?" the students were listening, looking at their teacher's face, she was worried as he face also looked pale. "Alright, yes, thank you, sir."

The classroom was quiet. Waiting for their homeroom teacher to say something.

"Class, I have an announcement," she started. "On Saturday evening, our classmate Sato Sakura had gone missing. Her parents called the police and found her body in a narrow path close by their house," she explained. "Unfortunately, she wasn't breathing."

The students in the classroom gasped, some had paled as they heard the news.

"This is the second time one of the students from our school was found dead, what's happening?"

"Am I next?"

"I don't wanna be next, I don't wanna die yet!"

It was an uproar in the class of 3-2. Fukuda-sensei then silence her students.

"All I ask of you is, do not, and I mean do not tell the other students or anyone. Only our class and the teachers knows of this," she explained. "Am I understood?" she ask, to reassure herself.

The students nodded and some of them said "yes".

"Takeda-sensei," a student from the student council called out. The sports teacher turned to the male student behind him.

"Yes?" the man in his 30s said.

"There's a missing sport equipment from the storage room," the student exclaim. "A member of the baseball club said that there's a missing bat, they thought someone was borrowing it a week ago but it was never returned," he told the teacher.

Fukuda-sensei, who was near the Takeda-sensei's desk overheard the report from the student.

"Have you check with all the members of the club?" Fukuda ask the student.

He shook his head with a no. "No, they have their own bats since the beginning of the year," he said.

"What a coincidence, the murder case of Adachi Yuuto also happened a week ago and he had a lot of bruises, even the polices said he was hit by something," another teacher near them spoke out.

There was only four of them in the teachers' office at the moment, so it was quiet and was easy to communicate between themselves.

"What, you think the missing baseball bat had to do something with the murder case?" Fukuda ask, as the homeroom teacher of Adachi, she was eager to know since there was already two of her students dead.

"One more thing that I'm confused about," the other teacher said. "Why is it your students that are being murdered, Fukuda?" they ask.

"That's what I want to know, but I honestly don't have a clue," Fukuda exclaimed.

Takeda sighed, he turns to the student that was still stood by his desk. "You can go now, we will take care of the matter," he told him. The male student simply nodded and left.

"Should we report this to the principal?" Takeda ask Fukuda.

Fukuda thought about it for a minute and confidently nodded. "We should tell the principal and have a meeting, in my opinion," she said.

"Agree."
