Is it really true that AIDS is spread by sex?

Yes, most people do get AIDS in other ways.  For example, some get AIDS by touching the blood of a person who has the AIDS virus. Others get AIDS by touching things like razor or injection needles that have blood on them. Therefore, we all should avoid touching anyone's blood.

However, let's not forget that AIDS spreads mainly by sex. In fact, 95% of people with AIDS got it from sex. (Less than 5% got it from blood.) Usually AIDS enters the body through penis, vagina, anus or mouth.

Can a person have AIDS and not relize it?

Yes. While Nathan was in school, he had sex with two girls. One of them happened to have AIDS virus. During sex the virus pass to Nathan---so he became “HIV positive."

After that, for a long time Nathan continued to feel healthy. He told himself, “I'm sure I don't have AIDS. I'm not sick. Ifeel fine!"

Yet, the AIDS virus was quietly spreading in his body. After six years he began lose weight, and sores developed on various parts of his body. Then he realised that he had AIDS.

Why do so many females get AIDS?

Lois thought, “The one thing I need is the man who will really and truely care about me."
She should have promise herself, “Although I feel a strong need to be loved, I will not sin by giving my bpdy to any man before marriage." But Lois didn't promise that. Instead she give in to a guy who told her, “I truely love you… share your beautiful body with me."

At first she worried about AIDS, but she told herself, this guy looks healthy."

However, he had the AIDS virus---even though he himself did not yet realise it. When he had sex with Lois the virus passed from his body to hers.

The only thing he wanyed from Lois is sex. After he got it, he left her and chase another girls. Lois felt so heartsick. Then she met a man who told her, “I love you. Prove that you love me."
She give him sex… and AIDS.

Five years later Lois began having diarrhoea that continued week after week. The doctor told her, “I'm sorry, Lois. You have AIDS."
How afraid she felt! “Oh, I wish I could die right now," she cried. Yet,  she feared the judgement day

What can we do for people like Lois?
We can do a lot for those who suffer from AIDS. We can take them into our homes and care for them. We can workin clinics that care for AIDS patients. We can do this full-time or part time, with pay or without it. Jesus said that we Christians should be the ones who care for the sick and dying. (Luke 10:30-37)

While we are caring for them, we must tell them how to go to heaven. Let's not delay to tell them about eternal life. Why? Because, “Every human is appointed to die, and then be judged." (Heb. 9:27)

A person with AIDS may think, “God will send me to hell because of my sins." We can tell them:

The Good News

We all have sinned and should go to hell, but Jesus took our sins and suffered in our place so that we can be forgiven. (John 3:16)
