Shuichi sat on the tree stump, he'd practiced flying for hours now, surely he Shuichi sat on the tree stump, he'd practiced flying for hours now, surely he could have a break. He watched as the birds flew by, going from nest to nest. He'd been warned not to go this far out into the forest, but Shuichi was always just that little bit too stubborn to listen. What's the worst that could happen anyway? Humans weren't real , surely. I mean, how could something so big survive out there anyway? Shuichi was just about to make his way back when he heard loud thuds. Maybe a better word for them would be footsteps. Footsteps. Oh god. Shuichi tried to fly as fast as he could, until he felt he was unable to move. Great. He just had to fly straight into a spiderweb, right now?? Shuichi could've just started crying out of frustration when he heard the thuds getting closer. He shut his eyes as tight as he could, hoping his helpless wriggling would get him out of this situation.
"Ah, they there . You look like you've gotten yourself into a pretty sticky situation huh?" The voice sounded like a roar to Shuichi, it was so loud. He just kept quiet, hoping the person would just think he was dead and leave. Of course he didn't though.
"Here- I can help, just don't move for a second.." Shuichi felt something touch his waist, fingers unraveled the web around him . Saihara panicked- wriggling and squirming with all the energy he had left in him, until he fell back into the human's hand.
"Uh, Hi! I'm Kaito, what about you?" The human asked. Shuichi stared up at Kaito. He seemed nice, but all the tales he'd been told about people like him came flooding back to memory. His mouth stayed shut in fear, as he tried to choke back the tears he felt swelling up in his eyes, he knew Kaede would be back soon, he wished he'd just gone with her instead of waiting .
".. Are you okay? You look like you've just seen a ghost." Kaito laughed, his voice alone gave Shuichi a migraine,
"..Um,, I'm S-shuichi,," he stuttered, holding back sobs of fear. Shuichi could feel Kaito's eyes burning through him as he stared down at the hand he was so helplessly stuck on.
"Nice to meet you then, Shuichi." Kaito smiled down at Saihara's pathetic form.
"Anyway, you should be more careful, cute little fairies like you shouldn't be flying around near spider webs," Kaito began to lecture Shuichi, he felt his face flush red. Cute.. Sure. It was probably just a manipulation tactic but it made Shuichi feel nice either way.
